The only operations my daughter in law has had are 4 c- sections the last was 20 months ago and since then she has had lower abdominal pain, yesterday she was getting shooting pains and my son pulled this from her, he says it's feels like plastic but could be metal. Does anyone have any idea on what it could be?

So has the pain stopped since the extraction?

Other dil is also here and she thinks that it might of come from the washing machine, but we have had quite a few giggles over this, we think her pains and this ufo might be unrelated and the ufo is plastic not metal and son felt it before he searched for it.
Other dil is very disappointed that I didn't post the more graphic photo.

OP thanks for the best laugh I’ve had all week, you have me in stitches 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I bet you’re a brilliant MIL!

Riapia · 18/09/2024 18:24

It looks like a fixing from flat-pack furniture. She may have sat on it and it worked it’s way in.
Unless when she was assembled there were a few bits left over. Can happen.

Seas164 · 18/09/2024 19:04

It got up there from the washing machine how?! 🤣

Twototwo15 · 18/09/2024 19:21

I dread to think what the family gatherings are like in your family. Interesting conversations and holiday snaps being shown round.

Wait, you can sit on things and they can work their way in?

New fear unlocked.

Fingers crossed your DIL gets answers OP, she definitely needs to see a GP and get a full examination and potentially an MRI.

Oh that’s the missing bit off my watch.

Must have left it up there !

From washing her clothes or bedding and not noticing it as its tiny.
Her pains are not there all the time and she has been twisting and moving all day in ways to try and see if it was causing the pain but as yet no pain.
Glad we gave a few of you a laugh as we have been giggling all afternoon about it and we are now referring to it as her ufo.
I do have another similar story about the other dil but I'm worried it will give the pearl clutchers a heart attack 😂

UNIDENTIFIED FANNY OBJECT ?

SonicBoomInTheRoom · 18/09/2024 20:24

Please give us the other story now. I'm invested.

I am dying laughing and my son is grossed out by the sight of my cup of tea being snorted from my nose.

Sorry had to post and run as was late taking another son to college,

Soon pulled this I think from somewhere in her vulva even though he said vagina but the other photo (that I really didn't want to see) wasn't her vagina.
She has seen her GP a few times about this pain and been to the hospital and they couldn't find the reason for the pain, and daughter in law said I could post here as the aibu is should she take it to show the GP?

I hope she's ok with that!

If one of my boyfriends had discussed strange objects found in my nether regions with his mother, I'd have been bloody mortified.

Thistooshallpass24 · 18/09/2024 20:36

It literally says in the quote the op's dil is fine with it

bless her, that sounds awful. This looks like something left inside her and needs investigating asap.

I hope she's doing ok.

I would love to go to OP's family gatherings!!! They all seem like a fabulous time!

TwinklyNight · 18/09/2024 20:59

I'd go to the doctor with it.

Has she been on a beach lately? It looks like a shell?.

bazoom · 18/09/2024 21:11

Looks like a hand with a ring on it, where on earth was it?

BubziOwl · 18/09/2024 21:14

I'm as prudish as the next person, but if I found a random bit of metal up my fanjo you'd best believe I'd be sending photos to my next door neighbours' great aunt if I thought she might have the answers!

You sound lovely OP - remember mumsnet is full of people who don't really like their families, or anyone else for that matter. Your family sound a great bunch, and I hope you solve the UFO mystery

I feel the same! Love the sound of your chilled, loving & close family Op (especially as a mother of sons myself!)

Ifoughthefight · 18/09/2024 21:45

The poster is female and a family to the dil, very much the reason why her son has a woman with a vagina who gave them the kids and grandkids. It is nothing unusual. If you get ill and need home care and washing, surely someone from your family circle has to do it. Stop being such twats.

I do draw the line at looking at their genitalia in person, but my husband has looked as our son when he had a problem and advised that he saw a doctor.

Sorry what? Your husband looked at your adult son when he had a problem? With his genitalia? Gatherings around your place must be interesting, do you pass around a photo album of various family member's genitals whilst all having a cuppa?
