The only operations my daughter in law has had are 4 c- sections the last was 20 months ago and since then she has had lower abdominal pain, yesterday she was getting shooting pains and my son pulled this from her, he says it's feels like plastic but could be metal. Does anyone have any idea on what it could be?

There goes my appetite for breakfast.... 🥞

CrouchingTigerHiddenChocolate · 18/09/2024 09:02

I want to ask where he pulled it from, but I'm scared of the answer, so I'll just presume he pulled it from behind her ear like a magician.

I would suggest she gets herself to the doctors ASAP.

MonsteraMama · 18/09/2024 09:02

Ouch! Where did he pull it from?

I stepped on a rusty screw when I was younger. Had the screw removed and everything seemed to heal ok, then about a year later the tip of the screw worked it's way out of my foot having apparently snapped off and been stuck in there with me none the wiser.

So it's possible it could be a fragment of something from her C that's just taken it's time working it's way out. The body is actually very good at ejecting foreign objects on it's own eventually.

Barrenfieldoffucks · 18/09/2024 09:03

Looking at the wedding ring I am assuming that is the OP's son holding it

KindleAndCake · 18/09/2024 09:04

OP, pulled from her where?????

Tourmalines · 18/09/2024 09:06

Same question as everyone, pulled from where ?

Mrsphilmiller · 18/09/2024 09:08

Pulled out from where? Her belly button, her vagina, inside her mouth? Where woman, where?!?

gardenmusic · 18/09/2024 09:08

Wokeuptired

Pop it on the 'sporner' thread, you might get some info on there.

Dolliesdisasterousdayout · 18/09/2024 09:09

People are so Squamish 😂

No idea what it is but if she is having shooting pains in her lower abdomen 20 months after her last surgery she needs to be seen by a doctor.

Moltenpink · 18/09/2024 09:10

Could it be part of a belly button ring?

Bellatrixpure · 18/09/2024 09:10

Have no idea but really hope your DIL is ok

Dolliesdisasterousdayout · 18/09/2024 09:11

Forgot to say, I love that son pulls random object from his wife, takes a photo, shows his mum and she puts it on the internet. 😂

Do they know that you have posted?

Namerchangee · 18/09/2024 09:11

4 c-sections! Bloody hell. Your DIL deserves a medal. I hope she’s ok. She really should see a GP asap.

Tradersinsnow · 18/09/2024 09:12

My mother had a metal clip emerge from her abdomen 45 years after the surgery. She'd always had pain there but just assumed it was adhesion pain.

It was pretty gross, she insisted on showing me.

ThatMakesSense · 18/09/2024 09:13

Sue ate a Sea She'll.

PashaMinaMio · 18/09/2024 09:15

It would be most helpful if you can put it on a dark background and put a measure next to it so we can see the size.
It would help if you told us from whence it was pulled.
Then we might be able to help.
Could it be the remains of a belly-button piercing?

Babsexxx · 18/09/2024 09:15

Naaa I’m screaming 🤣🤣🤣

LovingCritic · 18/09/2024 09:16

Could be a spiral surgical clip, they have a tendency to migrate over time, my dad had a hernia repair and one made its way into his intestine.

They use them for fixing surgical mesh, if she's had mesh, that's odds on what it is.

Maddy70 · 18/09/2024 09:19

Looks like part of a piercing

LovingCritic · 18/09/2024 09:21

Here's a few designs of spiral tacks, there are lots of makes / types, they are tiny

She's had abdominal pain for 20 months since her last c-section, and your son pulled (?!) this from her today?

Stick it on a peice of sellotape and take it to the GP. Your DIL, not your son, or you. I'm all for a team effort but this is ridiculous.
