Hi Ladies,

Would seem I missed a fun, wine and cream egg filled, night on MN lol! Wouldn;t it be great if we could all meet up in RL for a good old natter!!!

Choclab, hope you are feeling a lot lamed to day? I get pain when I am ovulating too! Not sore pain, just feels a bit crappy. Worse some months than others.

Gld DS's part went well and Dad is feeling better. Must be a big weight off! And congrats on you're new nephew - I love cudles with newborns! Had to believe our own children were ever so small!!!

Piggy - glad opticion went well! Now just concentrate on getting mentally well so that you can start trying for that little bundle of your own and once he/she comes along you will have two people to worry about! Its all good though

PiggyMad · 15/05/2010 17:34

Hi ladies!
Went to the beach today - really quiet secluded place called flamborough head near scarborough and bridlington. Really nice and relaxing - lovely sea air and that salty smell mmmm.

Glad you're feeling better choclab. I would try to distract yourself from the pains/symptoms and keep busy. Sometimes I think the symptoms and pains get worse when you think about them too. And everyone says that anxious people are more sensitive to every little physical twinge that other people probably wouldn't notice.

Hi Yommy - I still have plenty of eggs left - went and topped up on the way home Now have creme eggs, mini eggs and mars eggs. Take your pic! I'm going to spend the next six months chilling and reckoning with the anxiety - probably only for it to come back with a vengence when I'm responsible for a little person!

I do agree that an Anxiety Club catch up would be quite fun - imagine the logisitics of trying to set something up as some of us aren't keen on certain transport/motorways or places hehe. If we could bottle up our excess adrenalin adn sell it to sportsmen and women we would be in the money! xx

blissa · 16/05/2010 09:48

Oh it would be great if we could all meet up in rl Yommy. I think we are quite spread out over the country though, as Piggy says the logistics would be fun!

Sounds like you had a lovely day at the beach Piggy. I've not tried a mars egg- I'll have one of them if there's any left . Your plan for the next few months sounds good, you can beat this. And, as we've said before, you will probably be more prepared for any anx issues after having a baby. Talk to the MW and HV and they will look out for you too and make sure you get the support you might need.

I'm with you on that one kildare, far too much pressure on kids to grow up these days. Everything/one just needs to slow down

Hope you are still feeling better choclab and that you've had a relaxing weekend.

Had a really busy day here yesterday. Felt a bit more energetic than I have in ages so tackled all the housework and then sorted the garden. Dp helped me a lot but by 7pm I was knackared, think I over did it. Was supposed to cook steak n chips for our tea but ended up having a bath and dp got a chinese!

Both dds stayed at my parents last night, so it was nice having an evening with my boys! Taking it easy today, picking the dds up in a bit and having a roast at my parents-yum!

Afternoon ladies,

Had to leave my post in a bit of a hurry yesterday as DS2 and DH came back form tesco and DS doesn;t give me a minute! He has been driving me mad lately He has such a temper and everything has to go his way or we just get screaming - very frustrating!!

Blissa, sounds like a busy day followed by well deserved lovely evening

The beach sounds wonderful Piggy - we were at the beach yesterday too - although its only minutes from my house - it was bloody freezing so didn;t stay for long!

It's my B;day today Just having a relaxing day (downloading all my music onto my new i pod touch ) Heading out for dinner later with DH and DS to excape

Hope you all have a lovely, relaxing Sunday x x x

PiggyMad · 16/05/2010 15:49

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOMMY!!!

Hope you have a fab day. Am incredibly jealous as I'd love to live near the beach - we're in quite a big city and I do love the 'business', but would love to be able to walk along the beach everyday

Hope you have a fab day!

Bet the roas was lovely blissa, we're just back from mil's for lunch and am going to get started on the ironing! xxx

kildare34 · 16/05/2010 16:37

Happy Birthday Yommy! Very jealous of you getting a new i pod touch !! Enjoy the meal tonight.

Well I am getting ready to go out with my mother to see (don't laugh) Strictly come Dancing - The profesionals. They are on in Dublin so am very excited. Will report back tomorrow with all details.

How are you today Choclab? - good to hear you are feeling a little better.

Have to go and shove dinner down my gob and make myself look beautiful!!!

blissa · 16/05/2010 20:21

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOMMY! Hope you are having a lovely meal out. It's my birthday next weekend, doubt I'll be getting an i pod though

Hope you have a great night out too kildare, looking forward to hearing all about it.

It's great not having to cook sunday lunch isn't it Piggy. The dds had a lovely time at my parents.

Just had a text from dd2s school to say there are class photos tomorrow, and I haven't washed her hair and I can't find the hair scissors to cut her fringe GAHHHH

Morning everyone Had a great time last night, the show was really good. Wasn't on too late, show started at 6.30 and finished around 8.30ish, so was home and all before 9.30. The professionals are brilliant, I don't know how they do, they are so fit!

Blissa - Did you manage to cut your dd fringe last night, and more importantly did she let you cut her fringe?!! My ds2 hates getting his hair cut.

Anyway better go, lovely sunny day over here so everyone keep well. xxx

choclab · 17/05/2010 10:37

mrsbuggywinkle · 17/05/2010 11:13

Can I join in please?

I have had anxiety issues for years, I'll have a few months of being fine and then back it comes. Feeling sick and panicky this morning as DH won't answer his phone...and he had moved my phone charger which is what I'm trying to ring him about. Can't focus properly and I have a lump in my throat too. Its not helping that Dh and I had a row last night, that is sorted but I know that it is causing this. Wish I could just have an argument like a normal person without feeling awful for days afterwards!

Have just had a pretending birthday party with DD1, but am struggling. The girls are bouncing on the trampoline at the moment but I suspect the DVDs will be coming out soon.

I'm trying to deal with emotional eating issues as well, but am fighting a losing battle today.

PiggyMad · 17/05/2010 11:25

Hi ladies,

welcome mrsbuggywinkle - of course you can join! The ladies on here are lovely and very supportive if you're having a bad patch. I struggle to focus and get blurry vision when I'm panicking too - not nice. Leave the little ones out while it's nice and make yourself a nice cuppa then pop them in front of a disney film for a couple of hours ;)

Hi choclab - I would say that you don't need the check up, but if you want to get it done then it might put your mind at rest if you've had a complete check up. But then will the anxiety creep back in a few months and you might then want another one?

Very jealous about the show kildare - I'm also very sad and prefer an early start and early finish so that time sound perfect to be able to come home and chill out afterwards! I went to see Peter Andre in March and was very surprised that I enjoyed it - was so stressed before hand that I might panic when stuck in compact area, but was ok.

Hope the fringe was ok blissa - brought back mental images from my mother cutting my fringe as a child

Hello Yommy - still recovering from the birthday celebrations ;)?!

I'm doing rather well at the minute so am feeling quite positive. Going to make the most of it while it lasts hehe. Weather is gorgeous so bribing myself with a nice walk after I've finished a bit of reading. xx

kildare34 · 17/05/2010 18:39

Evening everyone, and welcome Mrsbuggywinkle (I love your name, reminds me of Beatrix Potter!)

Choclab - I agree with everything that PiggyMad has said and I will add on that I feel you need to go to your GP and discuss your Health Anxiety. This is like a vicious cycle you are on and believe me I know what you are going through. What I am about to say I mean kindly I really do, you could go and get a checkup from top to toe and get a full bill of health. You will feel great for a couple of weeks, then the health anxiety will reappear. One thing my therapist said to me about health anxiety, is that it is usually about something else that is bothering us and that it just manifests itself as health anxiety. I am no expert or doctor but just for your own mental well being maybe go and have a chat with your gp. I hope I haven't offended you. (smile)

Piggymad - What was Peter Andre like? Did you get up close? Can he sing? [grin} Very cheeky of me. Glad you had a good time. Weather is lovely and I believe its going to get even nicer!

Take care everyone. x

PiggyMad · 17/05/2010 18:50

Hi kildare! Peter Andre was quite amusing - music was a bit pants but he did sing and dance quite well. The highlight of my evening was Mysterious Girl at the end and the pink flashing cowgirl hat I bought as a souvenir
I'd never actually thought about it, but I suppose it must be true that the health anxiety is just a symptom of being anxious about other things, but it rings true now you've mentioned it. I get irrational health worries if I've been unsettled or had a stressful few days/months. It first appeared for me when I blacked out a couple of times in the space of a few weeks (which I think was down to anxiety/stress/not eating properly/low bp/maybe a virus?) and I was convinced I had something terminal. Then after the doctor ruled one thing out then I found something else to worry about (even suspected the ecg wasn't carried out properly and they hadn't checked my blood ). When I start to feel good about myself and feel that my life is a bit more stable and under control, then things ease up a bit (unless tired/hormonal ). So I suppose I'm saying, choclab, in a long way, that you could go on forever looking for symptoms and potential problems. I also thought at the time (rather dramatic, I know), if it was something serious then I'd hate to think I had wasted my last precious moments worrying and not making the most of life.
Anyway, ramble over now - I seem to have a lot to say at the minute hehe! xx

choclab · 17/05/2010 19:35

Thank you both ,

Kildare - you havent offended me, all the things you and piggy are saying is right ...i deep down know that i guess ,

i have felt a bit calmer at times today , till i read something regarding heath then im off self checking ... theres a great deal of guilt to, i feel for feeling like this , i get cross and depressed for wasting time feeling like this ..wasting time when i should be enjoying life ..

i know that when im busy im better that is true , so please how els can i rid this or sort it out , maybe i should look for therapist ?
The doctor is aware of how i am and wants me to go on AD but again im to anx to take them ....

its breaking the cycle FOR GOOD ....

thanks for being there x

blissa · 17/05/2010 19:51

Hi girls

Welcome mrsbuggywinkle . I hope your day got better and you managed to get hold of your dh. How old are your little ones?

The show sounds great kildare, glad you had a good evening. Didn't manage to get dd2s fringe cut- God knows what I've done with the scissors! I must phone my hairdresser and get her round, we are all well overdue haircuts.

Peter Andre Piggy??? . I must say he has improved with age I think! Hope you enjoyed your walk, it has beautiful here today too.

I totally echo what both kildare and Piggy have already said choclab. I really think that having a chat with your gp and finding ways to keep your mind occupied will help. More dancing round the kitchen with your i pod

Have had a pretty busy day here, I managed Tesco this morning without any wobbles. Then been out in the garden this afternoon. I feel a bit lost this evening as all dcs were messing around at dinner this evening and dp said that if they didn't stop they'd go straight to bed afterwards... well they didn't so they've all been in bed for about 45 mins now, it's very strange!

Anyway I'm not really here, I came on to look up a health condition for my friend, she is really suffering and her gp is no help

xx

kildare34 · 18/05/2010 21:00

Evening, how's everyone doing today? My ds2 had a birthday party today. He and his buddies have a better social life than all of us put together!

Mrsbuggywinkle, how are you feeling today? I can understand, feeling well for a few months and then going through a bad spell. I am currently (touch wood) feeling a lot more positive in myself.

Choclab - Have you thought anymore about going to your GP? Hope you are keeping well today

Its lashing raining at the moment, so I think I'm going to make myself and DH a nice cuppa of tea and keep the galaxy bar for myself xxx

mrsbuggywinkle · 18/05/2010 21:38

The name is the name of DD1's imaginary friend Kildare and I have two DDs, one very nearly 4 and one 14mths.

Have mostly been ok today, am wobbling all over the place at the moment as DD1 is refusing to go to sleep and I'm tired! Managed to stay really calm this afternoon when she got a horrible splinter...felt dreadful that DD2 had to be ignored for the 20 minutes it took me to get it out though!

Yesterday was just awful, Dh managed to get hold of me via facebook in the end...but by that point I was a bit of a wreck.

Right, back to attemptoing to somehow get DD1 to sleep, wish me luck it was 10.30pm last night!

PiggyMad · 18/05/2010 22:25

Hello ladies!
Glad to hear everyone is doing well. All is fine here - embarrassed to admit that I bought another 18 creme eggs today
Hope you manage to get an early night mrsbuggywinkle - bet the girls keep you busy!
blissa - hope you enjoyed your evening to yurself hehe and well done on Tesco - awful place!!
kildare - hope you enjoyed the galaxy and ds enjoyed the party - was gorgeous here today and the heatwave is supposed to start tomorrow!
choclab hope you're doing ok and have been away from google!!
xx

blissa · 19/05/2010 16:48

Hi girls

Glad your ds2 had a good party kildare. They do have a better social life don't they- I feel like a taxi half the time!

Hope you managed to settle your dd last night mrsbuggywinkle, and that you have had a better day today.

How many creme eggs you got left Piggy?! You'll turn into one if you're not careful!

Been a lovely day here today, just got back from the park after school. Waiting for dd1s friend to be dropped off so I can do their tea and then take them to Brownies- Taxi!

Hi all , How is everyone ? what have you been up to ?

Felling still anx at moment ...
Had bad day yesterday , saw on GMTV that thing on actress who plays sally on cori and she has had BC
so yes set me off self checking and yes went to doctors to have checked out ... saw a different doc i haven seen before and she was really nice took time to really talk to me ... breasts fine by the way ..
i started crying and she explained to me a bit about anxiety and how its a chemical imbalance and arenalin released to quickly through the body and how this is why i get anx , was really helpful , she also does recomend i try theses AD i got .. as they will help regulate the adrnalin and seatonin produced in the brain and will take the edge off my anx .....
also highly reccomended CBT , but there is a 9 month waiting list ...... i tried to get it through our own private health cover , but wont cover me for it which is a shame , so am looking on line to see if can find someone local who wont be to expensive ...

went to gym thismorning that was good , then walked the dogs as weather was lovely . so did feel bit brighter .
must not come on here and look at general health ... all sorts of things like that as i cant help but look , then i worry i have ANOTHER thing ....

sorry for big rant , just needed to talk ...
thanks for listening .

choclab · 19/05/2010 20:46

HI

Kildare - hope you DS party went well and all had a good time?
what did you do ?
My DS had palls last week we all went to laser hub .. they loved it (daddy did to )
Galaxy bar sounds good

Piggy -18 cream eggs ... wow will you eat them all or save them ? didnt know you can still get them after easter ...yummy ...enjoy ..

Mrs buggywinkle - hello hope your feeling a bit better and have managed to catch up on some sleep ?

Blissa and yoummy - hope alls ok with you to .x

blissa · 19/05/2010 20:49

Hi choclab

I'm glad you saw a dr today who listened to you and explained things, I think finding an understanding gp is crucial. Did you tell her that you are reluctant to try the ADs and why? Are you on the waiting list for CBT? You never know, it might not take quite that long.

Well done for getting up and about today, the lovely weather certainly helps doesn't it? We've been doing 'walk to school week', we park half way on the journey to school and walk the rest through fields and the park. The schools have given dc lists of things to look out for on the way and they get a sticker at the gate if they have walked. It's such a nice way to start the day, I actually get to talk to them before school! Will definately try to keep it going, although I can't guarantee it come Novenmber!

OP posts:
choclab · 19/05/2010 21:12

hello

choclab · 19/05/2010 21:17

thanks , blissa .

yes did explain my worries on taking AD , she said there really isnt many and if there is there short lived and i woud feel better for it ..i know its a leep i should try but im so scared and feel so anx i just dont know if i can right now ..

like the idea of sticker for reward for walking , and yes nice to talk as they go off to school , but like you say in a cold november day may not be quite so nice .

PiggyMad · 19/05/2010 21:20

Hi girls!
Aww I'm pleased you feel better after seeing the doc choclab. I agree with blissa that it makes all the difference having a sympathetic gp who can explain why you feel like that and get different symptoms. I saw the ads for gmtv and made a mental note to myself no to watch it!
The walk to school week sounds great blissa! It must be nice for the dc to blow away the cobwebs before getting into school. Hope the girls enjoyed Brownies! I used to help out at a Guide group but haven't really got back into it since moving.
The creme eggs are 11p each as are being sold off. They're in date until the end of July but I doubt they'll a make it to the end of May to be honest xxx
