Thanks everyone
blissa-My neighbour was hammering tiles off the wall from 7am and still at 11pm(we live in a semi) so i went round. She started to excuse herself and i told her i wasnt happy about it and she really mouthed off at me.

Beauregard · 24/05/2010 22:07

Body dysmorphic disorder

PiggyMad · 24/05/2010 22:09

You're not a mess, pelvic, just going through a difficult time and it sounds like you are getting different sorts of help for it and things like cbt and counselling take a bit of time to work - which is no consolation at the moment as you are feeling rubbish.

blissa · 24/05/2010 22:10

I was going to ask that too kildare.

OP posts:
blissa · 24/05/2010 22:15

Piggy is right Pelvic, you are not a mess. You are getting the help that you need and you will feel better, it's just going to take time.

How was you relationship with your neighbour before? It's perfectly reasonable that you would go and have a word if she was still being noisy at 11pm.

Relationship with neighbour was fine before but now i am scared it will cause animosity and retaliation.

blissa · 24/05/2010 22:25

Have you seen her since?

OP posts:
Beauregard · 24/05/2010 22:29

No but dp was out cutting the grass out the front on fri(we take it in turns)and she didnt speak.

Beauregard · 24/05/2010 22:33

I should have said it in a nicer way i think.I didnt shout or swear at her but i was firm when i said I am not happy.

blissa · 24/05/2010 22:36

But that is fair enough, especially as she knows you have dc. I can't see any reason for retaliation. I know it's hard not to worry, especially when you feel uncomfortable, I'm sure things will get sorted out. Maybe she is feeling embarrassed for mouthing off at you?

OP posts:
PiggyMad · 24/05/2010 22:38

Maybe she thought he wouldn't hear? Could you or dp give a small knock and explain that you hadn't been sleeping well etc? I understand it must be really uncomfortable, but maybe the neighbours aren't that bothered - they must know that it is incredibly unsociable to be hammering around all day from seriously early to after 11pm! Do you think that this maybe seems worse because of how down you are anyway? So maybe she doesn't think there is a problem and you;re worrying about it - if you see what i mean?

Beauregard · 24/05/2010 22:47

You are probably right piggy but i cant get rid of the anxiety.I am to scared to go round and dp wont(never does things like that)
I would like to say that i hope things are ok between us but am very scared i will be ignored.

blissa · 24/05/2010 22:47

I have to go to bed now Pelvic, will be around tomorrow if you want to chat some more. Take care x

Night Piggy and everyone else xx

OP posts:
Beauregard · 24/05/2010 22:51

night and thankyou

PiggyMad · 24/05/2010 23:02

Night blissa! I'm going too in a bit.
Pelvic, maybe next time you pass her just smile and say hi and see what she does? I'm sure she wouldn't ignore you. I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight - do you have a relaxing cd you could put on or a nice room spray or body lotion to relax and help you drift off? Would dp give you a massage or anything? There's a lovely citrusy massage bar you can get from lush that works wonders for me when I'm feeling anxious - or vicks vaporub as well. Apparently rubbing the bottom of your heel is supposed to make you sleepy.
Let us know how you're feeling tomorrow and see if you can get this neighbour issue lifted off your shoulders

Night xx

Beauregard · 24/05/2010 23:04

Night piggy and thankyou too for your kindness x

Morning all, sorry to hear you have been having trouble with your neighbour pelvic.
I went to the mw this morning, she's made me feel better and she's happy with the baby. I woke with terrible ear ache this morning so I'm going back to see a doctor tomorrow. Would of liked to stayed after seeing mw but dp needed to go to work and for some reason the surgery was packed, was too hot to stay and wait for that long.
Not doing anything really for the rest of the day have child benefit and tax forms to fill in as much as I can. Still quite warm today.
Work are giving me a baby shower on Friday so that will be nice, my friend is staying over- she invited herself, I cant really say no either. Oh well its fine, its me i dont like having people in the house.
Hopefully all will be well and I need to leave early sat morning anyhow.

Hope everyone else is doing ok today. thank you so much for your support yesterday/last night. You gal's stay up longer than I can!

Lola

Hi ladies,
How's everyone been today?
Thislittlesis - ear infection sounds nasty Maybe having your friend over will give you a bit of company/distraction and it might be fun to talk about baby things or have a girlie catch up? The baby shower sounds nice too.

How are things for you pelvicfloor? Have you seen the neighbour at all?

How are things choclab?

Weather isn't nice here today so have been for a little walk and pottered on with some housework and am just about to get down to some work (I know - end of the day ). Feeling positive but rather worried about interview tomorrow - well, not nervous about interview, but just worried in case I get the job adn have to do it . xx

thislittlesisterlola · 25/05/2010 16:37

Hi choclab, finished nearly 2 weeks ago- had to use up annual leave before going on mat leave. Baby shower will be nice I think its 'I'll be fine when I'm there' situation. Weirdly my ear is absolutely fine now- no idea what that was all about, considering how much it hurt earlier.
Think will be brave and keep doc appointment just in case- surgery is miles away and hard to get to if it does come back.

How is your and everyone's day going?

Mine is ok here, am making rice pudding- not very summery but i like it!

choclab · 25/05/2010 19:07

Just sat watching tv with dp- were both on internet not really feeling strong enough to talk to him about how it annoys me. 1st babby-a boy. Am really looking forward to his arrival. Hope everyone else is ok. Lola

PiggyMad · 25/05/2010 20:06

Hey ladies,
Have you triep peppermint tea choclab to help with the ibs and bloating? I drink a cup usually after dinner every night to help digestion.
The job is a part-time weekend job at Monsoon - sort of want to test myself as I work from home and since the anxiety have lost a lot of confidence in public places and used to love my little shop job so just want to do it for a confidence boost and a bit of extra cash to save up.

Have an anxiety-fuelled question - is it ok to take evening primrose oil with preconception vits? Have started taking them today to get the folic acid etc into system for next 3 months then took one and had a mini panic that you can't take them with evening primrose (no idea why you shouldn't be able to I suppose). Any ideas people?

How exciting a ittle boy thislittlesis! Do you have ideas for names yet? The Monsoon I;ve got interview in has a baby clothes section and they have the most gorgeous outfits!

xx
