Iv been seeing a new guy for about 3 months now and things have been going great and I'm worried that if I tell him I have bpd he will leave. Aibu to keep this secret from him.

Whether this thread is a wind up or not, it is likely to have done damage to how people with BPD/EUPD are perceived by people who read it.

I started reading this thread with no preconceptions of BPD/EUPD and a general sympathetic attitude for anyone with mental health challenges seeing that I have such challenges too. I was rooting for OP and hoping she could find a way to being honest and open with her boyfriend and, hopefully, establishing a safe and nurturing relationship.

After having read this thread though, I'm afraid that I feel less open to giving the benefit of the doubt to those with BPD/EUPD. The potential risks for one's own mental, physical and emotional safety and peace of mind appear to be high.

If this thread is genuine, my sympathies are with the OP's boyfriend and children. May they emerge from this with the least damage possible. To the OP, I hope you find a way to see the implications of your actions and to limit the damage you are doing to yourself and others.

You think I'm the only woman in the world to stop taking the pill without her bf knowing. People do this all the time and just don't admit it. The only reason I'm admitting on here is because it's a private space to express my feelings. Iv not told anyone in rl except my cpn

Have you got support in place incase your bf doesn’t react well to the news tonight?

My cpn told me to ring the crisis team if I need to as she's only available until 5

And they’re not severely mentally unwell with a history of abusing children and drug use. You are beyond thick on top of all of that too.

People with personality disorders lack insight

They can sometimes lack any sense of reality too, which is where SS involvement becomes necessary to protect innocent children - doubly so when two have already been removed

It's quite a relief that the nurse is apparently escalating this already ("they ... have made an urgent appointment with my psychiatrist") but it's probably the end of the boyfriend not knowing about OP's many issues, in which case his reaction may well be predictable

Hope you don’t need them x

Correction: a few women - a very small percentage - do it, and every single one of them is wrong to do it.

Stop minimising your bad choices, it is only preventing you from having the healthy relationship you supposedly want.

Have you told him yet?
