hello! Well done all those getting out today. We were out (but walking) on the moors today. Crazy really, in all that rain and wet - but it's New Year's Day and I have to go for a walk, it's the law. Makes the pub afterwards extra nice and cosy :)

Yay for your new park run cherry and shred. It's such a good idea. You should start one up round the park in Dublin rhet (in all that spare time you have )

Just back from my 6 miles, nicely refreshed. Took it easyas was with friend who's not massively into running, but still nice to get out.

Can I just ask who is initials MAM on fb? Lot of you are friends but not me .

Glad she slept well last night rhet. Sounds like a lot of good rubbing today. Managed to get out for a walk today, can't wait to get back on form though.

Oh and I am initials SG, profile pic is now me with two oldest boys on holiday in Dorset looking not at all like I'm about to push them off a cliff.

I'm going to attempt a short one tomorrow. I have been doing short ones beforehand since I have to fit then in with nursery pick-up. Currently averaging 6.30'per km! Oh well onwards and upwards!

shred - park run, woop woop! I can forsee some fights between me and DP for who gets to go but I shall try my best to do it.

Still down in Devon - home tomorrow. Bit scared about what the traffice will be like on the M4 and M5. I am all relatived out and ready for my own bed. Very pleased though as last night I was the only one to correctly guess who the murderers were at our murder mystery party.

geek welcome and I use runkeeper. It's not bad but I find it is not great for accurately plotting your distance, and therefore your miling. It often underestimates although the other day it said I had done 62 miles in an hour!

All this Facebook talk is tempting me to start using it again.

I am toying with using Runkeeper Geek as I am expecting delivery of my new smartphone this week (yay! - my first new phone since 2001, I've had DH's cast-off since then). Anyone used Endomondo? It seems to be a similar type of thing with good reviews.

I am rather annoyed with myself for dropping my heart rate monitor on the floor. It still works as an HRM but I can't use the stopwatch anymore or change the upper and lower alarm limits.

Planning an easy hour or so this morning.

Hi geek. I have never used runkeeper.
Going to try a little run in a bit.

not planning on a run today - have finally lost it with the gargantuan amounts of bits of old shit in this house, so am proceeding round the house filling up a large black plastic sack and trying to keep ahead of DD1 and DP who keep taking things out of it. Seriously, there isn't a single room that doesn't look like a charity shop and I have had enough - it's bad enough that we are trapped in the house most of the time without it looking like complete crap.

Vent, and breathe....
