Oh I hadn't thought about that Kwick, I'm hoping it's some 'surface' work they need to do. They didn't do a root canal so the crown is laid on a thin layer of tooth and if they remove it without anaesthetic I'll just die with pain!

Report
PaisleyBE · 21/04/2017 18:53

I'm under impression that local anaesthesia should be avoided while pregnant, that's why I'm on a mission to get everything dental done before the iui. I even told my dentist about it, so he understands the urgency. Today he added one more appointment. I don't really mind, cause he's so handsome and nice, so despite terrible noise of the drill I really enjoy my every visit there.

Pez , nothing shameful about waiting for the form. I'm annoyed with myself that I didn't get my teeth fixed this last year and not now, when I'm gonna be needing money for x iuis. Buy that brings us back to the jolly topic of money. So, let's not go there, weekend's right here! Bike

Cherry 🍒** lovely to hear from you, sorry you've been so exhausted. Have you got your 12 week scan booked in? Think energy levels are meant to boost a bit in 2nd trimester :)

Report
CherryBlossom100 · 21/04/2017 19:53

God, I'm counting down to the 2nd trimester! My friend warned me that she didn't start feeling better until week 16. Spoil sport!
My 12 week scan is on the 5th May. I had a scan at week 7 and they found the heartbeat but couldn't find the baby. I was re scanned at the clinic a week later and the baby was there and measured on track but it's a long wait to the 12 week scan!

Oh bless how worrying, hopefully all will be ok on the 5th!!

Hi again 😊 I'm the worst ever thread-keeper-upper... life gets in the way and then I'm like "oh I should probably see what's going on on mn..." but I'm in my penultimate year of nursing school and literally weeks fly by and I haven't achieved anything except pass exams and not die of stress. I'll be done in 2 weeks and I'm at the point of not really caring any more about uni as it's all so hard! Love it so much but holy crapoly.
Anyhoo, I'm 38 nearly 39 😖 And waiting very impatiently for June to arrive as I'm going to Prague for donor egg ivf. I've never had a baby or a bfp so I'm hoping to get lucky this summer. Am on the pill now til May 24th, and having an endometrial scratch/biopsy on May 19th. Throwing everything including the kitchen sink at this cycle as I'm traveling so far.
How's everyone doing here? Any more Bfp's? I hope you're all well 💗🌼🌸🌼

@CherryBlossom100 I know you probs don't feel ut right now but having morning/afternoon/evening sickness is such a good sign ✅

@Snowdog37 nice to have you back again!!! I am thinking about donor egg too with IVI - just trying to drum up nerve to ring them... fricking hope they do not make IUI an issue.

Snowdog nice to hear from you. No wonder you haven't kept up with doing the nursing bits. The end is in sight!!
Not long till you switch that stress over to this stress but sounds like you have it all sorted for June.

Kwick please make sure you ring them this morning otherwise you won't get a chance to throughout the week and it'll be yet another week
So is the plan to try another iui if they'll let you, then think about move to DE if necessary
Surely people can't say no, if you are paying and understand the chances?? (Although some clinics probably think about their % pregnancies/live births etc so rather than thinking about the human it's about stats 🙄)
Let us know how you get on

pickle did not call and am now out for rest of the day.... please forgive me!
I am not sure what the plan is - need to see what there BMI opinion is... and what they recommend. Part of the reason of going with them is hopefully access to loads of lovely juicy Spanish eggs and magic potion!!!

In other news: I have a stonking headache which is most unusual for me.

Dentist asked me if I had lost weight!!! I LOVE her - and told her so!
Then caught soght of myself in shop window...

Does anyone else get an absolute mood crash a couple days after they ovulate? I am just so tired (but can't sleep), grumpy, down, etc about 2-3 days after. Feel like it's my body punishing me for not getting pg Hmm It's happening today & I'm miserable.

Report
pickle162 · 22/04/2017 16:54

:( sorry your feeling down Phoenix I can't remember when I feel down but throughout the cycle there are def times that I'm worse than others having not ovulated for 2months due to the pills I can't remember. Chin up Hun, you've got lovely plans for tomorrow, that'll cheer you up :)

Report
Snowdog37 · 22/04/2017 17:12

I usually have a few "down" days each cycle too. But I'm on the pill at the moment so have been mostly normal all cycle, which has been nice! When I had down days I'd try to treat myself to something, even just a nap or a movie or something to distract me helped a lot. Hope you're feeling chirpier soon!
Kwick they won't force you to do any more IUI unless you want to? They'll run tests or evaluate your existing tests and recommend what to do. I feel so much more hopeful about my chances of success using donor eggs as my own are shite. I highly recommend this route just for the relief of stress about pressure to produce your own good eggs!

Thanks Snowdog - nice to know it's not just me! And thanks Pickle too.

Shoes I forgot to ask the clinic & you might know. What happens with your 7 week scan when you're abroad for treatment?

Just popping onto the thread to say that I hope you all enjoy the meet-up today! Wish I was able to join you and hope there'll be another one soon.

Phoenix - with Stork Klinik they don't scan as a matter of course. The IUI package is just a case of helping you conceive. Pregnancy is just confirmed using an HPT. Early scans aren't really necessary (and official health guidelines tend to say that ultrasounds should only be done where there's a medical need) and they can be inconclusive before 8 weeks anyway. If you want an early scan there are plenty of UK ultrasound clinics where you can easily organise one. Costs range between £50-100.

cherry! So nice to hear from you, I was thinking of you and wondering about messaging you to see how you're getting on! That ten weeks has gone by quickly, hope the next ten weeks (until my first iui!) does too!

My deets:

Single, 32, using BCRM in Bristol.
Consulation on 3rd may
Hoping for first iui end of June.

Lovely to read intros and catch up with everyone's journeys, and so nice to see all the pregnancies! I'm sooooooooooo impatient to get started.

phoenix I get the mood crash pre ovulation too. Then anxious/irritable during pmt. It's all a barrel of laughs innit?! How are you feeling today?
