If this goes horribly wrong it is not my fault.....

Old Thread

Sorry Amber my week has been a cross between the Twilight Zone and soap opera with falling ratings at Christmas.

Today's joy looking after dDad while working. It feels like the toddler years are back (minus trying to fish fuzzy felt out of bottoms and sultanas out of noses hopefully). Thankfully they have superfast internet so I can "work".

Thanks Unescorted. I'm sure we will all play nicely and I think 🤔 we're troll-free at the moment

SnugglySnerd · 13/05/2021 07:02

Morning all! Thanks for new thread Unescorted.

Unescorted · 13/05/2021 07:07

I hope so - I don't get the thrill of trolling. Especially on a thread like this one.

I was trying to picture these threads and I have realised it is always a summer afternoon in here.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/05/2021 07:14

Thanks unescorted, I promise to be good.

Don't worry amber we do go a bit random at times.

Need to catch up on sewing Bee. Don't mind spoiler thought.

Onwardsandupwardswego · 13/05/2021 07:20

Trolling just weird. Low spend yesterday. 10 for a club subscription. Let's hope get to use it this year.

Unescorted · 13/05/2021 07:31

Sorry Life I shouldn't have put the spoiler on. I so want one of the crab suits. It would be such a good addition to my Teams calls.

Onward I hope you do too.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/05/2021 08:51

No worries I'm now intrigued. I don't mind you saying at all

SnugglySnerd · 13/05/2021 10:01

Yes loved the crab suit!!

AmberIsACertainty · 13/05/2021 11:18

Oh don't worry people I'm ok Smile the forum went glitchy yesterday and it looked like posts didn't work so people (inc me) kept pushing the button and then when the error messages stopped there was multiple posts the same littered throughout the threads making some of them hard to read. I don't think it happened her though.

People troll on this thread Wolf Confused why? There's nobody to wind up surely it's just us chatting about our lives. Maybe I don't understand how trolling works. I certainly don't see the point of it.

So if someone is a troll then hi troll 👋I feel sorry for you having no life and chatting nonsense you made up to strangers on the internet and I think we should probably just suck it up and include you anyway as some sort of service to humanity and those less fortunate than ourselves #be kind and all that jazz.

Unescorted thanks for the new thread. Oh gosh I hope your parents don't start sticking things in orifices, that really would be too much, you poor thing.

Ok so you're not drunk, sorry for thinking that. Either everybody is having a group hallucination or there's something about crab suits on TV. I don't have TV so I wouldn't know about that but want to reassure you all I don't live in a cave it's a proper house honest

always a summer evening here

Must be because we all have a sunny disposition. This is my favourite thread and I'm definitely spending less.

Today I have the stabby jabby. Little bit scared. Hoping I don't get the blood clot and die feel a bit dramatic saying that

Bornlazy · 13/05/2021 12:02

Afternoon all. Thanks for the new thread Unescorted I'm sure this one will be just fine and then you'll have broken the curse and can do more 🤣
I'm sorry to hear about your dad and now your mum. It never rains but it pours. I too am the cleaning up cadaver person, it's a PITA to be honest.

I'm going to watch sewing bee tonight. I'm loving it so far and recommending it to everyone who looks at me like Hmm when i start talking about it.

The aunt who I have been caring for recently is now nearing the end of her life. I am struggling to support her at the moment as she doesn't want to go into a hospice and I don't want to upset her.

A few nsds but don't seem to be have any more money...

Lovemaltesers · 13/05/2021 12:33

I’m so sorry to hear of everything this week unescorted, and sorry to hear about your aunt born too. So so tricky.

Interview later today. Whoever thought asking people to do a presentation via video call as part of it obviously has a funny sense of humour…

Bornlazy · 13/05/2021 12:43

Good luck Love 🍀 Hope it goes well.

AmberIsACertainty · 13/05/2021 13:09

Good luck for the interview Love

Born I'm sorry about your aunt. Perhaps it's time to get professionals in to help you if it's become too much for you alone. Flowers

Unescorted · 13/05/2021 13:14

Good luck Love. Are you doing it via Teams or Zoom. Teams is pretty easy to do presentations on.

Amber it is Sewing Bee Grin

Born sorry you are going through this as well. It sucks and is a thankless task.

Today's stress relief cake is Bread Pudding (not bread and butter pudding. If it is as good as everyone tells me it is then it is a good frugal one for using up the odds and sods of bread.

Unescorted · 13/05/2021 15:48

Mrs it was a request bake. I am not convinced. It looks ok but I know how it was made which is a little off-putting.

AmberIsACertainty · 13/05/2021 16:40

I used to have bread pudding from the cake shop for a treat when I was a child. It was brown and had sugar on it. I am so daft I didn't know it was made of bread I thought that was just a name Blush

Stabby jabby went well not much of a queue. It was Pfizer. I have to have a second one at some point. Maybe everyone does? I haven't been paying much attention to it all.

I like sewing. I keep wondering if I should get a sewing machine so I can make my own clothes, but I've got more than enough clothes already and nowhere to put the machine. Maybe one day.

Mrsmadevans · 13/05/2021 16:44

Amber I bet your bread pudding was much nicer than the slop l had to eat as a kid Grin
I had a sewing machine for years , l made duvet covers, toys, curtains , dresses. l did a lot before l had the DDs but l just don't have the time for it now , have given my machine away many years ago now .

Mrsmadevans · 13/05/2021 16:45

Glad your jab went well Flowers

AmberIsACertainty · 13/05/2021 16:53

Thanks, Mrs . The bread pudding was a slab cut into squares. Like the way you'd cut up brownies from example. Brown and solid, when I broke it in half I didn't get crumbs. It was very filling, full of sultanas and sugar sprinkled on top. I've no idea how it was made.
