If this goes horribly wrong it is not my fault.....

Sorry Amber my week has been a cross between the Twilight Zone and soap opera with falling ratings at Christmas.

Today's joy looking after dDad while working. It feels like the toddler years are back (minus trying to fish fuzzy felt out of bottoms and sultanas out of noses hopefully). Thankfully they have superfast internet so I can "work".

Good lord it's so hot already. Today we will be going nowhere as it's too hot for the pup (English springer Happier) and too hot for me. I may well break out the shorts that only every happen in another country where no one can see me because I think I'll drop dead if I put jeans on

Happierwithouthim · 17/07/2021 07:59

Wolf mines an English setter Smile
I'm up & putting on my clothes to take rubbish to town as it'll stink in next weeks weather, will do a small Aldi shop & going to go to Dunnes to buy something that fits & is hot weather friendly to wear for lunch out with my friend & celebratory drinks for my divorce Grin

Yesterday €18.50 on small top up shop & scones for everyone at work
€8 washing ds's quilt, only time he wet in 4 weeks, his single quilt fits in my washing machine but new bed is double.
€245.49 on a bathroom unit, a top for myself, a second duvet set for myself & a Christmas tree decoration using 20% discount code as the 25% one didn't work out as cheap HmmHmmHmm going to email them about that. Saved about €100 on the order vs full price

We’re heading to the beach in a bit. DDis waking up super early so we’re going to try and tire her out by running her on the beach before I go to the stables.

Riding today £40

Had my second jab yesterday. So far so good.

I am impressed at all the brave waxers! I did used to do it years ago, I think I’m in that long term relationship effort slump now 😂
meadow not sure if you are making an effort for the midwives or for yourself - if it’s just for labour I can tell you us midwives don’t care 😊
I’m also in the slumped on the sofa brigade. I did go for an early run though and have done lots of washing.
Have also done my back in, booked a physio spot which is spendy (£45) but I can claim on my health scheme, hurray!
happier happy divorce celebrations, yay!

Happierwithouthim · 17/07/2021 14:11

Oh no life poor pup & poor you yikes

Lovemaltesers · 17/07/2021 16:24

We seem to be spending lots, but keep getting money off this week, mainly because things haven’t arrived when/as they were supposed to:
Got a free meal in our next delivery box as it arrived a day late
Ocado order today got cancelled, so got £20 off next shop. Hoping it arrives tomorrow.
Takeaway the other night was cold when it arrived so we got a refund

I do not recommend buying biscuits from Amazon, unless you want them for a biscuit base. Amazon don’t refund on biscuits Grin

Our McDonald’s including mcflurries arrived perfectly today. Just stuck the ice cream in the freezer for a bit! They were amazing 😂

Friend kindly got us a few essentials today as we were a bit stuck without the delivery.

2 days, 7 hours and 35 minutes hopefully left to go. Still have some symptoms so hoping they go by then!

Really struggling this weekend. Stressed out of my mind. DH being an arse because “why can’t you just enjoy life why do you need to be home all the time” when all I want is to actually clean the house. “But that’s what we pay cleaners for” (yes but they won’t be here for another week because I had to isolate) I never get time alone in the house anymore. Just an hour would do.

Apparently I’m miserable because I didn’t want to go to the beach for a third time yesterday. It might sound silly but I don’t like the beach much. When I was a kid it was a forced beach all day every day in the summer and I missed out on so much. Almost like “we’re here so have fun you must have fun” and DH is similar. We must spend all of our waking time together and with the kids. Because he doesn’t do anything it annoys him when I do.

Today I’ve been up since 4 but awake most of the night. DH stormed in to bed at midnight and knocked the lamp over and his bedside cabinet. Took me ages to get back to sleep.

We have people coming round for a bbq today. And I’m not feeling it. I’ve told DH this. This means that I want to cancel and hate him and his family and friends. Apparently. I’ve said if it was my friends coming round I’d be feeling the same.

Stress plus exhausted doesn’t make me feel very social. He knows this. And seems to just be pushing me and pushing me.

Wolfcub · 18/07/2021 07:47

Em I can completely understand wanting a) time alone b) time to clean before people come round c) an organised space. I also loathe organised "fun". Tell dh to take the kids to the beach so you can have an hour cleaning up before the bbq. I know he will probably resist but I'd say I'm really uncomfortable having people round to an untidy house

northender · 18/07/2021 08:38

I second what wolf said Em, not unreasonable at all

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/07/2021 08:53

Totally get the need for space. Thirded

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/07/2021 08:54

Couldn’t sleep last night and have cricked my neck
Food shopping today and stock up for holiday but not too much in case moving

Happierwithouthim · 18/07/2021 09:14

Em I like the beach but wouldn't go more than once a day without dc never mind with dc to watch & change & entertain etc etc

Life lock the sweets away

Love that's good with money off but why can't they just do things right Hmm

I got some yellow sticker meat yesterday so we're having roast stuffed chicken today , I always feel more content when I've plenty of meat in Smile

Going to put up pool for dc soon

I prefer going to the beach when it is stormy. In the heat with no shade is just uncomfortable.

I am burnt.... I had a day in the garden yesterday. Weeding and soil improving I so love clay.... not). DS is building me a bit more wall to make another bed - it was going to be the space for the outdoor pizza oven, but since Ooni came into my life it is no longer needed. He got worryingly dehydrated - the rest of the wall will be finished when the heat goes out of the day.

I need to go shopping - but can't get excited about it.
