Getting Ready to TTC baby #2 (anyone else want to join?)

We are gearing up to TTC baby number 2 and I thought it might be nice to chat to others in the same boat :)

I'm 35 and have a DS who is 3, planning on starting TTC next month. We've been on the fence about it for a little while, but I'm finally starting to feel a bit excited (and terrified!) at the prospect of a second baby!

Fingers crossed for you @rosepetalbee

I've just come to the end of my first known fertile week since my miscarriage but we have been so knackered with my 4yo I'm not sure we have a chance unless I ovulated towards the start of the week so now just waiting for my period. My partner goes away during my next predicted fertile week so not getting my hopes up about anything happening quickly.
A colleague of mine has announced her pregnancy this week and her due date is very close to what mine should have been. I'm so happy for her but it's knocked me a little bit off balance.

Keep an eye on the nausea if you do get a positive test and seeing the GP about antiemetics if it gets too much.

I haven't ever had a Dr say I have had HG but I have a rough time with sickness too. I had most of July off sick with pregnancy sickness and was on antiemetics until 3 days after my miscarriage and it took 2 weeks for the nausea to fully go and my appetite to come back.

When I had my daughter we did the NCT class and we were all asked what we were most looking forward too. Everyone else gushed about meeting baby, who's eyes that sort of thing. I said "not being pregnant and the sickness to stop"!

I probably was too hesitant with reaching out to the gp for support with the sickness in both pregnancies. The midwife at the epu gave me a leaflet to the pregnancy sickness support line in case of future pregnancies. I think I will be a bit bolder. I ended up in minor injuries after having a fall in the night due to dizziness from the sickness. I got up to get my daughter some meds and I came over all dizzy and my legs just gave way and my partner found me in a heap. Most of my weight landed on one foot and it was a week before I could properly weight bare on that leg!

I hope you have an easier ride this time but it is the thing I dread most about pregnancy!
