Grrrr - over 15 items tesco subbed which I’ve had to return

Guess I’m going to the shops after all. How has everyone else done?

Not exactly a shock in the week before Christmas.

Ours is due this afternoon, I'm hoping we don't get stupid subs, but I'm half expecting no bread.

Had my Tesco delivery yesterday. Three sensible subs and one unavailable item (pate) which I can live without. I thought that was very good result!

We had 4 sensible subs and 2 missing items from Morrisons last night but the chicken came dated the 24th so sent it back and will be at the butchers early Christmas Eve! We have more crap subs and short dated on a normal week.
I’d already done a lap of Lidl and then taken what we’d got back off the order, saved about £30
Lidls £1.50 veg boxes had been really thoughtfully assembled with potatoes, swede, carrots, parsnips, sprouts, onion, shallots, cabbage and celery. Absolute steal!

8 subs, nothing major and all pretty sensible. 4 will be going back though. I have to pick up the turkey tomorrow anyway (different supermarket) so its no big deal.

We have covid so can’t go to the shops and was relying on convenience food for Christmas Day. All the good stuff was missing I.e. the pigs in blankets plus the veggie version, some indulgent baked Camembert in pastry thing and a nice apple pie. They tried to give me some rancid looking fruit and mushroom stuffing balls instead. This is Ocado so stock is meant to be more reliable.
I’m not feeling good and I’m having a massive sulk.

4 subs, 3 went back but they weren’t anything essential. That was with Tesco.

I was doing my fresh shopping in Morrisons at 07.15 this morning. The shop was packed out with fresh fruit/vegetables/meat/snacks. Hopefully other supermarkets are the same so online orders can be fulfilled.

Got mine last night. About 6 subs and no missing items. Subs were same or better than original item so pleased with it.

Just the bread, they subbed Kingsmill for my usual Warburtons. I rejected it as I don't like Kingsmill and will nip in later for the right one.

I would have been going anyway, there's always odd bits which don't make the list in time.

Did my shop last night, it's being delivered this morning, no substitutions, nothing missing, extremely happy

Tesco click and collect- 1 unavailable item and 6 subs, 4 of which I returned.
A couple of things were short dated and I asked to return them but the lovely colleague nipped I'm and found some better dates for me.

Ocado, 2 missing items and 2 rubbish subs, but the important bits were all there.

3 subs - vegan for gluten free 🤦🏽‍♀️. I unavailable.
Yet to arrive as priority all day slot so we shall see when it shows.

I did a click and collect the other day. 20 items unavailable. Went into the store and bought 18 of the missing items straight off the shelves. I did click and collect to avoid having to take 2 kids into the very busy shop, defeated the object.

Heads up for Sainsburys. Mine's due this afternoon, and it's all there. Nearly always has been

Tesco delivery yesterday (Tuesday) pm. No subs and only 1 Xmas chocolate unavailable (but I could have bought that weeks ago, so my fault).

I was very impressed with the dates on the veg. The use by date on the broccoli was 28th December.

7 sensible subs from Sainsbury’s, mostly just two smaller versions of one large thing and a different brand of frozen pizza. Impressed that all my Christmas stuff is there, though the turkey is coming from the butcher tomorrow.

Last night we had 7 sensible subs and 2 not available from Tesco. The only thing missing we need is dishwasher tabs.

4 minor subs (e.g. different brand or pack size, all were improvements), no missing items.

Mines coming today from Morrisons just checked the email no subs (such a shock) and just 1 item missing which I don't really need been super lucky this year!

Four or five subs with sainsburys. Most okay - except for frozen ready to bake croissants which have been subbed with an apple strudel!

My delivery is due soon 🤞 all arrives ok. Although I forgot to order persil and I didn't know you had to order your Turkey from Tesco by the 14th so couldn't order that. Will need to brave the shops.

13 subs and all going back including an individual chocolate pudding for one instead of a Christmas pudding for four. And charged the same price! You'd think, having booked it five weeks ago, that they'd have managed a bit better. Yep, off to the shops for me too...!
