GMTV are at it again-another survey about BFing

I completed it out of curiosity. Some of the questions are really loaded and negative about BFing.

I've pointed out to them that they're not exactly unbiased as one of their major sponsors is nestle.

I've just done it too - agree, very negative undertones and I feel some of the wording would encourage people who aren't sure / have no experience to believe that it's a 'bad' thing to do. e.g. "Do you think women should be allowed to breastfeed in public? Are you pregnant and planning to breastfeed or is it something that you think women shouldn't do?"

Wrote a big thing at the end about positive aspects of BF and expressed my concern at some of their word choices and that I felt they were encouraging negative attitudes towards BF.

Why don't they do a survey on the Daily Star? Do they think intelligent women and men need to be subjected to such vulgarity in public? eh?

I commented too. What's the point? We already know that bfing rates are woefully low, that Joe Public has uneducated and wilfully ignorant opinions on bfing. Why don't they invest some time promoting and normalising bfing instead of carrying out pathetic and pointless surveys?

I have just completed the survey, Complete and utter bollocks. Have also ranted completed the comments box with my misgivings about the tone of the survey and obvious bias.

This thread should be kept bumped all day and perhaps informed MNers can influence the 'outcome' of the survey and balance the ignorant gmtv viewers who believe that a woman shouldn't breastfeed in public.

I'd like to write surveys for GMTV. I'm surprised the calibre of person that chooses to listen to Fiona Philips et al spew forth their vacuous bile all over the nation's cornflakes has the intellectual wherewithal to understand the word 'nutritionally'.

I may be in a very, very bad mood today.
