My scan went well - measuring exactly as I thought so due 19th march!

Hi ladies, been a bit MIA as been super anxious about scan today.
But all went really well. Measuring exactly as I thought so due date 22nd March.
Baby would not stop wriggling and moving though so was really making the scan a big task! But finally got a pic that wasn't blurry and finally got the measurements! Lovely to see that others scans went well and best of luck to those having there's this week x

So, scan went well. Baby is fine. Curled up and doing twists. Lovely little heartbeat. The sonographer had trouble taking a measurement because it was curled up so much, but what she did take tied in my EDD (I know exactly when my last period was, so I figured it'd be close). They've moved my due date one day to the 22nd March.

Couldn't get an NT measurement either, because the baby was cosied up to the uterus, so I've got have the blood test done at 15 weeks (just when I'm meeting up with midwife anyway).

Tried to post a photo, but it wouldn't let me post for some reason.

Happy to know it's not all in my imagination! And glad we can tell people now!

Congratulations to everyone on the scans recently. I've also been MIA, judging by the expanding waist line i must have been too busy eating to check in!!

@scottishem - Yay! March is a pretty good month, I feel. And definitely the end of the month.

@SunyBay my birthday is the 30th so I'll either have a baby or be over due and fed up! Haha

Oh wow! My birthday is October, so that's not a worry! The closest we've got is my parents' pup, who's birthday is March 14th, some friends of ours have a five year boy who's birthday is March 15th, and my uncle who is March 26th. (Tbh, as long as it isn't born on his birthday, I'll be happy! I'd never hear the end of it if they shared a birthday!)

Congrats to everyone for the good scan news :) got mine tomorrow and am starting to feel nervous now. I was measuring five days behind on my eight week private scan so i'm hoping everything is still okay in there and will have a clearer idea of dates if so!

Sending them all. Good luck. My partner said he was excited at the scan. I was mostly just desperate for a wee! That overwhelmed any nerves I had.

@whyhastherumgone the only reason I knew my exact due date was because that month I had done ovulation tests basically every day (feared i wasnt ovulating) and knew I had ovulated on something like CD 22 and dtd that day. If I had gone by my LMP date it would have dated me a good week and a half ahead of what I actually am so would have been in the same shoes as you.

Great news on the scans ladies

Oh forgot to say earlier @whyhastherumgone - I used Vicks a month ago as had a horrendous cold. Rubbed on my chest and under nose. Apparently it's ok - I did ALOT of googleing 😀

I also was desperate for a wee I couldn't think of anything else. In fact I was in agony so much I couldn't lie down on the coach and had to gonhave a wee. When they went to do the scan I still had too much wee in bladder it was squashing bump and they couldn't see it properly so had to go and release a bit more 😂

@sallywiththegoodhurr I know for a fact my SIL has already guessed, because MIL told me when we broke news to her, plus pretty bloody obvious as she kept asking me why I look "glowing" when I was 5/40 and there was def no glow (unless maybe the faint sheen of nausea). She's still being kept in suspense for now though

Fantastic news for everyone who's had scans this week. Mine's not till next week, seems ages away!
