Great news about the scans today.

I have a fortnight until my booking in appointment which feels forever.

Excited1203 · 02/08/2017 22:47

Time goes slowly for me too. I've lost a checking task todat, the daily miscarriage risk list. I'm down at 2.2% now (8w+2/3), 2% next Tuesday. No more exciting reductions after that, so it's not worth looking any more. I'm probably twice that with my age, but even so it feels like a manageable stat. I also read ahead in weeks 5, 6 and 7 on the BabyCentre app, so I'm up to speed through to week 10.

Jacqueje · 03/08/2017 06:06

Congratulations to everyone who had scans yesterday, fantastic news!

whyhastherumgone · 03/08/2017 08:22

morning all, great to hear there have been so many positive scans!

Quick (grim) question - has anyone got quite an upset stomach? i'm 6+5 now i think and it seems like the queasiness has picked up in the last couple of days - much more gagging etc and a queasy stomach churney feeling in my stomach but ive also woken up to an upset stomach. Previously have felt a bit bloaty and constipated. Is it all just hormones?

Hope everyone is doing okay today

Scoobygang7 · 03/08/2017 08:36

@whyhastherumgone sounds like an your morning sickness has begun. It's not always full vomiting.

Nervous this morning have got my blood tests to do at 10am. Not helpful that I am somewhat needle phobic and it's sometimes like getting blood from a stone Confused

Countdowntofour · 03/08/2017 08:38

@Scooby can they do it from your hand? That's often easier.

Got my scan at 950 😕

Flatwhite31 · 03/08/2017 08:42

@whyhastherumgone I had a really upset stomach last week. TMI - one day I could barely leave the house! I'm convinced that's what I was getting instead of vomiting. It has settled down a bit now I'm 9 weeks.

@Countdowntofour good luck with the scan!

whyhastherumgone · 03/08/2017 08:44

@scoobygang7 ah perhaps that's it - i didn't realise an upset stomach could also be part of it! Feel a bit better heaving-wise as i've managed to choke down some fruit. Good luck with your bloods try and make sure you're warm before you go in that also makes it easier for them.

Good luck with your scan @countdowntofour

FuzzyOwl · 03/08/2017 08:47

whyhastherum in previous pregnancies I have really suffered with alternating diarrhoea and constipation. I've never had morning sickness though.

Hope it goes well Scooby.

Which site are you using for miscarrige stats? Is there one where you can put in your age for a more realistic answer?

ZylaB · 03/08/2017 08:56

Hope it goes well @Countdowntofour

pioe · 03/08/2017 09:08

Hello all, I've name changed since being on the original thread but then lost it so happy to have found fellow March ladies again. I'm now 9+2 and alternating between nausea and dodgy stomach and absolutely knackered. Good luck for all those going for scans! Had my booking appointment on Monday and it lasted 2 and a half hours! We had a private scan at 8 weeks and all seemed well but she's called us back in 2 weeks to rule out twins Confused

KerryLeanne84 · 03/08/2017 09:13

@FuzzyOwl -
re the stats, it's this website - datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer.php

If you click 'provide additional information' you can enter age etc.

Drizz · 03/08/2017 09:23

Get yourself seen and well soon @whereistherum! That sounds dreadful.

I am not showing yet at 8+4 and this is pregnancy number 5, hopefully child 3, mrsk. I did show quicker with my second than with my first but it was 14 weeks onwards with her, and 20+ with my first. It all depends on what happened to your stomach muscles since last time. Also I got way bigger with my second, we're talking properly whale-like at the end Grin

Nice pic SS81C, getting babylike. Ours looked like a hamster on Monday.

Apols for cluster posting, I've reported them. No idea why that happened. Dodgy connection I suppose

Poochieblue · 03/08/2017 09:44

I think i have finally managed to convey to DH how I am feeling. I said it was like a 24/7 hangover without the fun and his face changed and he actually looked like he got it!! we will see if we continue to argue over rich tea biscuits!!

OP posts:
ZylaB · 03/08/2017 09:53

Haha I also need my rich tea biscuits!
8 weeks today by my dates, apparently baby is the size of a raspberry or a kidney bean!

FuzzyOwl · 03/08/2017 10:21

Thanks @KerryLeanne84 and that puts me at 86.3% of things going well but I will still worry since I've never miscarried before nine weeks before. I just need to try to relax about it all. Am seeing a doctor today about my anxiety as it is starting to be overwhelming at times already, which doesn't bode well for the next seven months.

FuzzyOwl · 03/08/2017 10:22

I am also a fan of rich tea biscuits!

ZylaB · 03/08/2017 10:55

Is anyone else thirsty ALL the time?

Poochieblue · 03/08/2017 11:02

yes @zyla i am! I have always drank a lot anyway (2-4 litres a day) as i suffer with uti's and migraines if i don't but i can't get enough. nothing is actually quenching my thirst :-(

OP posts:
KerryLeanne84 · 03/08/2017 11:04

@FuzzyOwl Flowers I know it's tough (I feel the same as this baby is so wanted and hard come by) but I think an 86.3% likelihood of anything is pretty darn high!

Can they book you in for any reassurance scans at all?

FuzzyOwl · 03/08/2017 11:04

Yes Zyla. Thirsty and always needing the loo. Otherwise I have insomnia, heartburn and am quite emotional.

FuzzyOwl · 03/08/2017 11:06

Thanks Kerry and I have been referred to the prenatal support team and will ask them if I can a reassurance scan, although I don't generally like them since I have yet to have an early scan where I haven't miscarried so psychologically I feel much better about the dating scan.
