Hello @kateroseanne :) welcome.

I think I've developed a craving and it's not a good one - BURGERS. I'm not usually a burger person but I cannot stop thinking about them and have eaten them two days in a row now :( and not just any burger. Big Mac. Jesus I'm gonna a be a house.

I wish I was still craving watermelon.

Scoobygang7 · 04/09/2017 14:00

Lol @whyhastherumgone mine with my lb was big tasties. I however at one point also wanted gherkin on it so poor oh had to order me gherkins on it took so long to arrive.

Countdowntofour · 04/09/2017 14:15

I just want curry, grapes or crackers atm. Everything else looks gross so I think really it's just aversions to pretty much everything bar those 😁

ZylaB · 04/09/2017 16:24

I keep getting really upset for no reason...really upset, stupid hormones! 😂

mummymathsteacher · 04/09/2017 17:23

I need to moan!! I've had either thrush or a uti pretty much permanently for the whole first trimester now. Sad All the delights of pregnancy!

Hope this week's batch of scans go well!

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 04/09/2017 17:34

We are scan twins mrskitty!

Hoping everyone's crappy first trimester symptoms subside very soon. My cravings are more fleeting - gherkins were big news for a while, and the urgent need for curry comes and goes. This pregnancy is all round less emphatic in most symptoms than my last - I'm hoping that doesn't mean anything worrying.

Doublegloucester · 04/09/2017 17:43

Week 13 and still tired and queasy. Sigh!

BeckleinDisguise · 04/09/2017 18:03

Hello, can I sneak in and join you all please? I have been reading along with you all for a few weeks but have been way too scared to join (I've had a few mmc and they've left me a superstitious wreck!). I am currently 13+1 with a surprise baby number 4 and whilst exhaustion has been replaced with mere tiredness I am still suffering from day-long nausea.

Countdowntofour · 04/09/2017 18:11

Hi beckle, I'm expecting number four too. What have you got already? Sorry you're dealing with all day nausea, that's not cool.
Does second trimester start at the beginning of week 14? I keep reading conflicting things lol.

Wiggle4 · 04/09/2017 20:35

Good luck all the ladies with scans this week!
I've got 6 weeks to wait til the 20 week scan and think I'm going to go mad in the in between. I have so few symptoms that I'm convincing myself there must be something wrong!

Zylab my hormones are shot too. Had a complete meltdown day yesterday and kept crying feeling so low then I felt guilty for feeling low because we've wanted this baby for so long I shouldn't feel anything negative! Crazy

whyhastherumgone · 05/09/2017 07:51

Looking for sympathy - predictably i've caught DH's cold. Never realised how much i rely on decongestant when i've got a blocked up nose usually :( Got a salt water saline nasal spray which is helping a little but got two hours sleep last night as I kept waking up because i couldn't breathe; and the busiest work week infront of me.

Feeling ridiculously sorry for myself. It took DH six days to shift the worst of it, I am really hoping that's not the case for me and I can miraculously get rid of it quicker. Hope no one else is feeling rotten

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 05/09/2017 08:48

Oh no @whyhastherumgone, that sounds awful, especially while pregnant! I really hope you're better soon.

Has anyone else got a relative that they think knows they are pregnant but hasn't told them yet? (I hope that makes sense!)

MIL keeps asking me questions about having more children, I just know she thinks I'm pregnant and is giving me the opportunity to tell her. We would tell her but half the county would know with in minutes so it's not quite time yet!

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 05/09/2017 09:42

@FuzzyOwl I've PM'd you Smile

whyhastherumgone · 05/09/2017 11:57

Thanks @sallywiththegoodhurr I am definitely a bit woe is me.

I've just made garlic on toast - smashed raw garlic mixed with butter and parmesan to make it a bit more palletable - as it's supposed to kill off colds and it has actually cleared my nose - maybe because the smell was so strong! wasn't pleasant but if it works... lucky DH I'm going to smell goooooood

skittleskate · 05/09/2017 20:00

Hi! I'm 13+3 and new to Mumsnet - had a mmc in January so have been quite nervous until we saw the perfect scan last week, yay! Does anyone else feel like they've gained a ton of weight during the first trimester?! I'm slender to begin with, but am hungry ALL the time and have put on at least four kilos. Makes me very nervous about the eventual birth size of this baby!!

hometownunicorn · 05/09/2017 20:34

Hi @skittleskate welcome and congrats on the scan. I'm 11 weeks and feel like I've put on loads of weight as I also can't stop eating. I'm hoping that gets better in the second trimester.

@whyhastherumgone I hope you're feeling a bit better soon. It's so rubbish to feel ill and not be able to do anything about it.

@Sallywiththegoodhurrr I think my SIL has guessed, but I think she's thought I was pregnant before and I wasn't so maybe she just always thinks I'm pregnant (which is weird...) When are you going to tell MIL?

Wingingitwithmonkeys · 05/09/2017 20:46

Hi @BeckleinDisguise, I'm also expecting a surprise baby number four. Although I'm only 12 weeks today, I think (scan Thursday) , so I'm still in the exhausted stage.

Welcome @skittleskate, congrats on your perfect scan! I'm also quite concerned about how much weight I'm putting on, but with the nausea I've just had to go with what I fancy, which is usually rubbish!!

@Countdowntofour I've always thought second trimester starts at week 14.

That sounds tough going @whyhastherumgone,hope it clears up quickly and you get some sleep tonight.

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 05/09/2017 21:10

Had my scan today - all seems well, baby was dancing away happily! My edd has been amended to 9th March, so I'm 13+4.

I put on loads of weight in the first few weeks, but it seems to have settled down now. Probably thanks to no longer having a need to eat sweets continually to combat the tiredness and nausea! I actually weighed slightly less today than at my booking appt a few weeks ago. I'm hoping I can keep the weight gain to a reasonable level, as I really struggled to lose the baby weight last time and I'm four years older this time Confused

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 05/09/2017 21:11

Sorry Whyhastherumgone, I forgot to say I hope you get well soon! BrewFlowers

whyhastherumgone · 05/09/2017 22:19

Thanks everyone. Has anyone used Vicks Vapour rub while pregnant? Used some to inhale in hot water and now panicking I shouldn't have done. Have avoided olbas oil and nasal sprays apart from saltwater - I think because my scan is on Thursday I am getting panicky that I'm inadvertently going to do something to cause damage!

I looked at the ingredients on the Vicks bottle and I can't see anything that looks dangerous apart from maybe eucalyptus oil - but I can't seem to find a straight answer on that online either!

blinkineckmum · 05/09/2017 23:31

Welcome to beckle and skittle. Scan showed a baby! Told the kids and some friends and family. It was also my first day back at work after Summer. I passed out after putting the kids to bed. Back to sleep now! I'll tell work next week.

blinkineckmum · 05/09/2017 23:50

and yes, I've put on lots of weight. Always hungry!

MrsW0812 · 06/09/2017 08:35

Hey ladies - sorry for abscence. Welcome new ladies 😀

It's my scan day today - nervous!!

I've put in about 3lbs which I'm not too worried about at the moment - but ideally don't want to put too much weight in as my bmi at booking in was 31 - not ideal. I was in the process of loosing weight when I got pregnant as had piled on 4st since being diagnosed with mental health issues and then I've had injury after injury (I'm normally a runner).

I'm panicking that being so big is going to have an adverse effect on baby and having craved so many carbs during first few months - need to curb my eating. But soooo hungry all the time!!

Xxxx

Onceuponamama · 06/09/2017 10:55

Excellent news regarding the scans! Good luck for you @mrsw!

There's a few of us having the scan tomorrow, good luck girls hope they all go wonderfully!

ZylaB · 06/09/2017 12:44

Dating scan went well! Everything looks fine and I've been moved ahead 2 days to 13+1 due 13/3/18
I'm starting to believe this might actually happen!
