It only took us two weeks to fill up the last thread!

I just loved how he was complaining on the phone at how tired he was Hmm

I agree about the women all being on their backs and needing intervention. If I have learnt one thing from that programme, it's to try and avoid that approach!

Rockyroad17 · 05/04/2017 11:07

Also @autumn woohoooo! Hope it goes well...

@lullaby admittedly the LO in question is particularly feisty. You should have seen their shocked little face!

Anyone else find themselves desperate to start up conversations with other pregnant ladies? I've never been the sort to chat to random people but I love it now!

teainbed · 05/04/2017 11:30

Oh that's fantastic news autumn!

I started to watch OBEM last night but gave up after five minutes. I'm clearly not in the mood just now!

I've had one labour on my back (weirdly the back to back one), one standing up (yes really) and one lying on my side. Each one my body sort of told me what to do and I couldn't have changed position anyway as it felt right. Must have worked!

nursebickypegs · 05/04/2017 11:31

@newbieho I hate OBEM! Then again I was the only student nurse who hated her mum & baby placement!

Morning (just) ladies. I'm feeling a wee bit better so I've used the energy this morning to make breakfast, then prep my lunch & tea. This means all I have to do is throw it in the pan and wait ten minutes until it's done. I've got veggies everywhere today, and DH says he will cut me up some fruit before he goes to work. Bless him. Midwife today, and then maybe reading on the sofa. A friend recommended me that Giovanni Fletcher baby book; she's slightly biased as she LOVES her and her husband, but I've heard not a lot about it. I've got credits on audible so I might as well give it a go.

Keep us in the loop @Autumnsweater, thinking of you!

nursebickypegs · 05/04/2017 11:32

@RasperryInAMelon I know what you mean! Since 2008, my life has been travelling, study, work and repeat. The thought of being off for this long is so weird?!?

Brightsmoke · 05/04/2017 11:44

Nurse & Rasperry, also feeling strange to think that I now won't go to work again for 13 months! Part of me feels like 'what will I do' then I think it must fly by because of baby.

Rasperry, last day was lovely. The team got me a gorgeous card and mothercare voucher, much more than I expected considering they've only known me for 6 months! Very emotional lol. I got an early finish as had MW app in the afternoon, everything seems fine, baby is measuring at 7lbs 5 already, on the 100th percentile and on track for being 10lbs if I go full term 🙈

Hope everyone has a lovely day, still a bit chilly here, but lovely and sunny. Just about to catch up on OBEM

Sipperskipper · 05/04/2017 11:48

So pleased you have got your scan sorted autumn. Let us know how it goes.

Never watched OBEM, and think it would just make me panic! Have watched some 'positive births' on Youtube so going to stick with those to try & keep me feeling good about birth!

Into my 2nd week of maternity leave now and very much enjoying not having to be up & in work, not getting frustrated in traffic and then not being able to park when I get there!

nursebickypegs · 05/04/2017 12:02

How far along are you @Brightsmoke? At 28+5, Bub here was 4lbs5oz, so I'm predicting now at 33 weeks next week, he's going to be piling on the pounds! Grin I'm taking 10 months off, but DH has reminded me that there is no stress or worry going back. A friend of mine has just gone back to work and is 16 weeks pregnant... Shock

RasperryInAMelon · 05/04/2017 12:12

@Sipperskipper what time do you get up now you're on Mat Leave out of interest?

Brightsmoke · 05/04/2017 12:21

I'm 36 weeks today Nurse, but expecting a big baby as DHs son was 10lbs 13, planned CS at 39+5, my DF was a 10lb+ baby, and both DH and I were 9lb+. I only hope I don't go full term, from 37 weeks it's all spicy curry and lots of walking for me!

teainbed · 05/04/2017 12:31

Me too bright there were a few of us due on the 3rd of May weren't there? 36 weeks sounds a lot but still a fair way to go doesn't it?

Brightsmoke · 05/04/2017 12:55

Tea, yeah about 5 or so I think, must have been a quiet night for telly 🙈 I know what you mean, 4 weeks to go, 6 max, just seems forever!

nursebickypegs · 05/04/2017 13:03

@Brightsmoke same here, DH was 10lb+, I was 8lbs13 and we are both quite tall. My bump is small though, a lady asked me at the weekend how far I was gone and couldn't believe it!

Northernexile · 05/04/2017 13:07

It's really interesting to hear what everyone's babies are predicted to weigh- I had a growth scan on Monday at 36+4 and it was weighing approx. 5lb 10- hovering around 9th centipede, which is exactly what the last two did (they were 6lb 10oz born). Consultant reckons that this one will be similar when born two weeks tomorrow. I wonder what the odds of having thee lol exactly the same weight are?!

Northernexile · 05/04/2017 13:14

*centile, not centipede, ffs! 😂

Rockyroad17 · 05/04/2017 13:47

@northern that would pretty crazy if they were all the same... what are the chances?! I haven't had any additional scans, so no idea of weight. People seem to have really mixed opinions too - some are surprised how far gone I am, some (mostly family) think I look massive, which is lovely Grin

RasperryInAMelon · 05/04/2017 14:02
