Welcome to the 13th April 2015 babies thread!

The stats thread is here and we have a handy spreadsheet here

If anyone wants to join the FB group who hasn’t already, PM me your email address and I’ll send you an invite!

We’re in the home stretch ladies, we've had six babies, how many more threads can we manage before the last baby is here?

OP posts:

Oh cinnamon, I don't blame you not wanting to do a car boot in bad weather. Could it go in a garage or shed or anything for the meantime?

I've been really warm at night, usually ditching the duvet (or rather using it rolled up as a long sausage pillow) but the room isn't that warm.... too hot for baby though. Think it's going to take some getting used to being at 16 - 20 for baby, especially in the summer. Keep suggesting to DH about turning the thermostat down but he keeps whinging he's cold.....

RL20 · 29/03/2015 09:39

If anyone is really bored like me, check out the chat thread which should be on Active Threads called something like 'What strange thing makes your skin crawl or freaks you out?'. Some funny ones on here which I can actually relate to a lot of them! Grin Might just be me though...

Squatting I can totally relate. If it's for himself, he's done and sorted it out within minutes. Anything I ask for, baby things included, seem to be put on hold forever. So I end up doing/buying it myself. Very frustrating

RL20 · 29/03/2015 09:56

Also he's very 'forgetful' of events. But he definitely didn't forget he was going to the stag do this weekend!

FiRaffe · 29/03/2015 10:19

Oh squatting that isn't helpful of him. Is there a time in the day when you are doing something and he's just sitting on the sofa - maybe could mention it then.... then he won't feel like he's doing something whilst you're (rightly) resting.... We all know what men are like!

kismac · 29/03/2015 10:53

Congrats Chococroc. Hope you manage to get lots of cuddles soon.

Im another one that is constantly hot. Keep having to strip to my pants and bra in the evening. Very glamorous.

DH has started redoing the lawn so it's nice for the summer time. He has so many DIY jobs on the go. I wish he'd just chill out.

37 weeks today. Hooray!

RL20 · 29/03/2015 11:02

Kismac ooh I didn't realise your EDD was so close to me, Squatting and Banana! We are 37 weeks tomorrow Grin
How lovely that your other half is doing some DIY jobs ready for the Summer. I'm sure Squatting would agree, our other halves could do with a slice of that enthusiasm!

Who is doing our threads now?! I'm sure Boo is trying to spend as much quality time with baby as she can so I'm guessing someone else has taken over?

ChickenMe · 29/03/2015 11:52

Congrats choco

kismac · 29/03/2015 12:12

He he. I'll race you!

Im nervous he's going to tired himself out before the baby arrives. It's very sweet but is a reminder of how clumsy and slow I am. Ha ha.

cinnamongreyhound · 29/03/2015 12:44

Well we've done it! Had an hour window in the rain but got battered by the wind! And we've made £170 Grin few pairs of shoes to go on eBay and the rest at the tip! Yay!!!!

Lauren82000 · 29/03/2015 12:49

Well done you Cinnamon.

I've just rang delivery suite to see if the tour is on this afternoon. I have to ring back at 1.30 as they are pretty busy at the moment. Hmm

RL20 · 29/03/2015 12:56

Wow well done Cinnamon. I had around 11 bin bags full of clothes etc that I wanted to save for Carboot season (which I know starts in March but I was thinking more May/June time) but my nesting instincts got the better of me and I ended up taking them all to charity the other week! It was driving me insane knowing that they were lying around. So I salute you!

Talking of tours, the midwife at the antenatal class last week mentioned that the hospital doesn't do tours anymore! Hmm So I have no idea what the actual maternity ward looks like. Not sure what to do about it really! Might have to ask my midwife what she thinks.

BrixtonBunny · 29/03/2015 12:57

Nice work cinnamon!

I'll try and do a new thread now though it's going to be very spartan, with no stats lists etc I'm afraid!

smogsville · 29/03/2015 13:01

Brixton we've been in our house since dec 2012 - it was time to make the garden a priority! You're doing amazingly well on getting your house into shape in about five mins flat. Until you're sure you're free of builders there is no point spending time and money on garden anyway as they make elaborate promises to be careful and then treat it like a rubbish dump. Maybe buy a air gun to frighten the fox and prepare wood pigeons for an untimely end?! I am half joking, I do like a bit of pot roast pigeon. Hope you have a lovely lunch with your friends. I'm off into town for a dim sum lunch with some childless old school friends. DD most put out that she couldn't come until she persuaded DH to take her to her favourite cafe wearing a ridiculous fairy dress.

Yes I'm hot at night, nothing more infuriating than putting on a nice clean pj top and waking up at 5am all sweaty and vile. Keep asking DH if we can crack the window at night and he looks at me askance.

Squatting - sorry about the car shenanigans but I like the sound of your cupboard of death. The only reason we don't have one anymore is because I ruthlessly chucked everything before we moved a couple of years ago including a chair that i now massively regret disposing of.

Oh and it turns out I have been telling lies about DD being same birth weight as this one is predicted to be, she was 6.8 to his predicted 6.13, doh!

kismac · 29/03/2015 13:02

Well done cinnamon. That's brilliant.

Our hospital doesn't do tours anymore but does have video on YouTube so you can get a peek at the facilities.

BrixtonBunny · 29/03/2015 13:04

Smogs I love the idea of an air gun - this naughty fox keeps trying to get into our rubbish Hmm

I'm very jealous about your dimsum!

RL20 · 29/03/2015 13:09

Thanks Brixton! Someone on here told us how to do links from your phone, do before the link and after the link with no spaces

RL20 · 29/03/2015 13:10

Oh and kismac that's a good idea. I'll see if mine does!
