Welcome to the 13th April 2015 babies thread!

The stats thread is here and we have a handy spreadsheet here

If anyone wants to join the FB group who hasn’t already, PM me your email address and I’ll send you an invite!

We’re in the home stretch ladies, we've had six babies, how many more threads can we manage before the last baby is here?

OP posts:

I got given a job even though I tripped and knocked over the coat stand. Such an eejit.

Siarie · 28/03/2015 08:16

Strong cramps (like my old AF) and BH/Contractions all through the night. I really hope something useful is happening, it seems to be progressing so slowly through. I've got a midwife appointment Monday if I make it until then, lots of things I've read have suggested this can happen and is a good sign that active labour will be short at the end.

Better bloody be

BrixtonBunny · 28/03/2015 08:36

I got given a job even though I inadvertently winked at one of the people interviewing me! I sometimes wink without meaning to. Awkward. I also got offered a place at university despite leaving my handbag in the room after one of my interviews, and having to sheepishly knock and go back in to retrieve it! Doh! Grin

Siarie keep us informed!

Another crappy night's sleep here, our kitchen floor is being finished this morning (rest of the house was done a couple of weeks ago but a couple of the floorboards were damp from an old leak so they needed to dry before they could be sealed and varnished) so was up bright and early to make tea and conversation with our lovely floor man.

Busy day today with seeing in-laws (who I really love, so it's not a chore) and doing some house things, but DP has Monday off work, then a three-day week due to Easter bank hols, and then who knows - baby could come at any time so he needs to be in a position where he can handover at short notice as he's taking four weeks off. It feels like baby is ages away but I have to keep reminding myself we'll definitely have met them within three and a half weeks! Shock

Am just going to keep making plans as normal (lots of lunches and coffee dates with friends to keep me busy), I figure I can just cancel if baby comes - the best excuse Wink

38+3

BrixtonBunny · 28/03/2015 08:39

Cave troll I'm so glad you don't have to go to that wedding - it sounded very ambitious, especially given how sick you've been Sad I really feel for you, this pregnancy sounds like it's been so tough. You're definitely owed a lovely easy birth and a contented and sleepy baby! Thanks

BrixtonBunny · 28/03/2015 08:42

Siarie how far along are you now?

RL20 · 28/03/2015 09:15

Well labour can't be too far off, surely, if my body is trying to tell me that I don't need much sleep anymore! Confused
Managed two more hours of very broken uncomfortable sleep after my tea and toast. Time to get up again as I feel like I've got restless leg coming on!
I really want to book a pedicure for next week, but worried that I might get restless leg half way through and might get the urge to just kick out! Blush Or even, it might relax me that much that I go into labour! Shock

Sorry you had a crappy nights sleep too Brixton.
I'm also going to try and keep busy up until baby is here too.

Ooh Siarie was going to ask the same thing, how far are you? And how are you feeling now? (I know it's only been an hour since your last post!)

FiRaffe · 28/03/2015 09:20

Morning ladies, sorry for those having a disturbed night again.

My bump is very achey, we're obviously all getting to the point where our bodies are trying to tell us it's only going to get more uncomfortable.

4am does seem to be the waking up time for me too- have tried really hard to not look at my phone in the night and get back to sleep ASAP while I can.

AnniaFausta · 28/03/2015 09:23

Morning! Hope the ladies who were up all night get some nap time today.

Antenatal yoga this morning, followed by PiL and BiL coming for lunch - they're sweetly coming over to us. Suspect this is partly motivated by MiL wanting to see the state of the redecorations & preparedness...

skyra13 · 28/03/2015 10:45

Morning ladies sorry about you nights sleep!

I feel crap and I slept for 12 hours lol that's what a crap nights sleep the night before in hospital will do to you lol

I had a contraction last night when went to bed but I probably slept through the others if I had any, nothing much has happened since my sweep. So it not don't much no show I had the tiniest amount of blood I was pathetic lol

Do not want another sweep Monday but will see how it goes!

Hope you all are resting them bumps now my body is telling me to day I went into hospital I was walking around shopping for 2 hours lol

skyra13 · 28/03/2015 11:01

I think I spoke to soon i have just had a bit of a show!!

RL20 · 28/03/2015 11:12

Oooh skyra! Could this be another March baby?!

kismac · 28/03/2015 11:21

Ooh Skyra. Very exciting! I'm jealous. Ha ha.

Is it bad that I had cereal at 4am, toast at 8am and waffles at 10.30am. Think the baby enjoyed the waffles, he's now trying to dig his way out through my belly button.

skyra13 · 28/03/2015 11:21

Noo she can stay in there still april!! lol not getting much els not regular contractions show could go on for days!! :D Hold out till 12am on the 1st at least haha x

RL20 · 28/03/2015 11:27

Kismac - not bad at all! I had toast at 5am, toast again at 9am, and I've just had a mcdonalds Blush

Skyra keep us updated Grin When is your EDD?

FiRaffe · 28/03/2015 11:49

Kismac - not bad at all if that's what your body wants...ooh and waffles!

Skyra - hope baby is good and stays put until Wednesday for you. At least it isn't too long now to have an April baby!

BananaToast · 28/03/2015 12:00

Just trying to catch up a bit on my phone.

Underwood it's horrible isn't it? Yesterday was so bad I couldn't even use my legs to scoot my wheely office chair over to answer the phone - I had to drag myself along the desk using my hands! Luckily after having an early night and not moving at all when I got home I'm feeling a bit less tender this morning.

RL I get that clicking sound every so often. Surprised me the first couple of times but I like it now. No idea what it is! Did mention it to the GP at one appointment and he thought it might be my ligament popping but I'm not convinced as it seemed to come from somewhere more central in my bump.

CaveTroll I think you're definitely doing the right thing not going to the wedding - take things easy!

Siarie it sounds like your body is definitely doing something productive so fingers crossed later stages of labour will be more efficient! For those who asked, I am pretty sure Siarie is exactly a week behind me so 36 weeks on Monday.

Off to visit my friend and her newborn today - he's 4 weeks old and I'm very excited for baby cuddles Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 28/03/2015 12:14

Lets hope they can see through the twitching pregnant woman to a woman who will do a good job IveGotACaveTroll Wink I will also say you do forget the hideousness! I lost 3.5st with ds1 through sickness, when pregnant with ds2 I couldn't believe it was as bad as it seemed as I got through it but it was! And I already can't imagine feeling as crappy as I did in the first trimester and pregnancy isn't even over yet!!

Sounds like something is happening skyra13!

I had a terrible night too BrixtonBunny, woke up 4 times with pains and a tight bump but went back off and ds2 was up once as well as Dh waking me twice!

Ran my last parkrun before baby today and it was lovely chatting afterwards. I'm not good at being centre of attention but it's tough not to be when you are 9 days away from due date and running 5k, lovely to chat to lots of people who I don't always see though as speedy runners don't always tend to hang around.

Day of sorting and then babysitting and car boot tomorrow. Got quite a few kids Monday but then an easy week from then on and hopefully a peaceful bank holiday weekend before baby arrives.

BrixtonBunny · 28/03/2015 12:30

Cinnamon I'm still Shock at you running at almost 39 weeks, never mind the fact you do such an energetic job during the week and have two DSs and your DSS! You are without a doubt a super-woman. Very inspiring indeed. Sorry you had a rubbish night too, it seems to be par for the course at the moment.

brummagem · 28/03/2015 12:32

Another 4am wakee here! Sometimes it's for bladder emptying other times its just for no reason although I did feel the urge to attack the huge pile of laundry in the back room!

Bump has moved down and 2/5 of head is now engaged. Had some painful BH last night too. I've noticed that since he moved I can't feel him as much which is kind of worrying but with an anterior placenta isn't unexpected either especially if he's engaging with his back to my tummy type thing. Thursday was a very wriggly day yesterday was quieter. It's more squirming than kicking/punching. Will see how he goes today.

Very exciting for those getting positive signs! It seems March is the new April!

Duchess of Cambridge due a whole 4 days before me. Hope she has a girl to avoid name clashing!

Cinnamon I'm really impressed you're still running! Feels like I couldn't run between 2 lampposts atm!

35+5. Eek!

skyra13 · 28/03/2015 12:46

RL my due date is the 6th! My lovely mum is hoping she arrives on the 2nd as its her birthday :)

I kind of don't want her out lol but I do Grin

Seems babies don't want to stay in for April!!

Cinnamon can no believe you are still running, we have the same due date and just going shopping kills me lol

ChickenMe · 28/03/2015 12:49

Kate Middleton had a nice birthing experience last time so she could have a quick, easy labour this time. I bet tho whatever she asked for they would jump to it lol
Good luck to those who appear to be "on the move"

IvegotaCaveTroll · 28/03/2015 12:49

Sweats the DOC s due date?
I thought she had just said mid to late April?

Maybe she is on this thread? I wonder who she is?

IvegotaCaveTroll · 28/03/2015 12:50

Sweats? That should say wat is the DOCs due date?

ChickenMe · 28/03/2015 12:51

Ps batch cooking-sooo glad I did some. It's impossible to keep up with my hunger whilst breast feeding. Do as much as you can whilst on Mat leave. It's a God send!!!

obeliaboo · 28/03/2015 12:59

Siarie that sounds similar to what i've been having since my sweep, but mines a little more watered down. Im not in pain, just every now and then i get a period pain glow and bump goes rock solid, sometimes it radiates into the sides of bump and is accompanied by back pain.
I've had no other shows or gunk (sorry) since yesterday and no more 'mini' contractions at all but bump seems a little lower.

Labour ward have decided to induce me Monday afternoon :( which has me a little worried as this is my first and im 38&4 today, but apparently because i've been admitted with reduced foetal movement and he's not followed the predicted growth, they want to start me along. Was predicted a larger than average baby at 33 weeks and now he's measuring average so he's stopped growing. Trying not to panic.
