2nd stillbirth in 6 months. In shock.

Had stillbirth at end of november - at 25 weeks. Got pregnant again 2 months later and went for 16 week scan this morning to be told this baby has died too. Am in shock but devestated - seems so unfair to happen twice in a row.

That's it really - just wanted to tell someone. I have to give birth on Wednesday.

I have felt like such a lucky person all my life and at the moment am feeling bloody unlucky and don't quite know what to make of it.

whereas in november I always knew i'd have another baby, this time I just don't know if I could go through pregnancy again. Am feeling pretty grim about the whole thing to be honest.

i'm so sorry... I am 16 weeks also, and can only imagine how gutted you are to have this happen, let alone twice. will be thinking of you wednesday. xxx

thanks so much for truly lovely messages - mumsnet quite bowls me over when the chips are really down!

Feeling very calm today and focussed - know we are strong enough to get through this. Just hope they are able to give us some idea why this has happened - it can't possibly be a coincidence again.

Tomorrow will be grim, but at least it's a thing which has a beginning and an end. What worries me is the sadness, the difficulty in having to tell everyone i know, people not knowing what to say to me, the unanswered questions that await me. I have no idea how long my feeling of loss will last - it's just so gutting. I had so much hope pinned on this baby - that it was going to make right all that went wrong 6 months ago.

Anyway, thank you to lovely mumsnetters who show they care - really do appreciate your thoughts and kind words.

I'll no doubt be back ranting on MN in a couple of days!
