Vinted buyers who don’t hit everything okay

AIBU to be really pissed off?!

I sold an item for £55. Not an insignificant amount of cash. Everything was packaged perfectly and she’s said there’s nothing wrong with the item but won’t press everything is okay! What’s the point?!

Yes, I’ve messaged her to ask if it’s all okay. She’s said yes and still not hit it! You get multiple reminders too!

People are so annoying. When you hit everything is okay it releases the money. How can you be too busy to just press a button but can manage to place an order?

I always mark it once I’ve checked.

I feel it's rude not to, I assume lots of people are selling because they need the money.

So message back and say please can you confirm

If sellers leave it until the last day to post then I’m not hitting that button

She's a cunt. And trying it on, don't worry it auto accepts of she doesn't press ok

Until I started selling on vinted I didn’t know the seller didn’t get the money until you clicked it. Since I learned that I open it immediately, check it and click ok. I guess maybe they don’t know you have to wait for the money

You don't have to chase. Just wait 3 days and it sorts itself

I don't think everyone realises that the money is released when the buyer presses the button. If you need the money urgently, why don't you ask her to confirm in the app so you get paid?

They only have 48 hours to report a problem, after that you get your money. It’s not a long wait or a big deal imo?

It was only from being on mumsnet that I learned this was the expected etiquette. Prior to that I too thought there wasn't much point as the seller gets paid in a couple of days anyway (and I am a seller as well as a buyer, and don't particularly care whether people do or don't).

I think many people just don't realise it makes any difference.

If a buyer press ok immediately, I add it in my feedback to them as a positive thing so other sellers know they’ll also get their money straight away.

If I’m selling on Vinted it means I need the money so really hope buyers press it to release funds.

Of course it is. You know that if you don’t press it the seller doesn’t get the money!

I only buy on Vinted ( never sold) and as there is only 2 days to raise an issue before the transaction is automatically marked as complete I rarely confirm it’s ok as I don’t log in every day.
The few email messages I get from Vinted just point out that the time limit for dispute is nearly up.
I think sellers get 7 days to send and buyers only get 2 days to dispute.
I’ve sold on EBay and think then I had to send within 2 days and then wait 21 days for payment.
Now I know that sellers are waiting for this confirmation I will probably try to do it for larger purchases, but I don’t feel much obligation to do this as part of my buying process. I’ve done my bit by paying.

It is a bit annoying but part of the terms and conditions of vinted are that money isn't released til buyer presses the button or 48 hours. If you don't like this then there are other selling platforms.

I feel like people take vinted far too personally. It's the same when buyers are incandescent with rage because a seller takes the allowed 5 days to post or when sellers are offended by low offers.

There's no point getting wound up by people acting within the rules of the selling platform you choose to use.
