Vinted buyers who don’t hit everything okay

AIBU to be really pissed off?!

I sold an item for £55. Not an insignificant amount of cash. Everything was packaged perfectly and she’s said there’s nothing wrong with the item but won’t press everything is okay! What’s the point?!

I’m more annoyed that she said it’s all fine and still won’t press it!

It'll happen automatically after 48 hours. And that's from when it was posted through the letterbox, not necessarily when someone got home from work and saw it.

People don't always have time to try on and check thoroughly until later.

I wouldn't appreciate a seller bothering me to tell them it was fine and then urging me to click quickly. After that there's no comeback for me if something is wrong. I'd think they were trying to rush me into agreeing before noticing something.

I didn't know that until I read this (though to be fair I'm new to Vinted). I don't think I've even seen the button.

You're being so rude to everyone here. I think your buyer probably just said yes to get you to stop irritating them knowing they can still raise an issue if necessary. If it's genuinely fine, you'll get your money. Maybe leave her alone if you want positive feedback.

Argh I find this really annoying too! They don’t realise that you get your money faster if they press accept. For this reason when I buy something, I make sure I always do.
the most annoying is when people take the time to send me a message saying how they love the item and thanks for sending it so quickly etc, to then not accept the order and release funds!
it’s not like Vinted don’t give them enough prompts to!

I always click the button straight away. If I’m happy with the item then it’s only fair that the seller gets their money. It takes seconds.

Maybe selling on Vinted isn't for you if waiting 72 hours causes this level of anger?

I always do it if the item is ok. I really appreciate when people do it for things I sell, which are always posted within 24 hours of them buying it. It’s not really about the money for me but the peace of mind knowing that they aren’t going to raise an issue. So thanks to everyone who clicks!

People have lives, sometimes they pick up a parcel and don’t have time to open it or inspect it immediately.

You have 5 working days in order to actually dispatch the item, 2/3 days to allow the buyer to check the item and raise a dispute seems more than reasonable.

You have been told repeatedly that she probably doesn't realise. Others have said that they also didn't realise, but when asked explicitly by the seller to press the button they were happy to.

What button? Sold and bought loads and not seen it. I’m sure you can wait a couple of days for payment.

Save your ire for people who don’t collect their parcels (is there any penalty for this? I guess if someone has paid £2 for an item they perhaps can’t be bothered to shift themselves to the In-Post locker or wherever) or who sell charity-shop clothes which have been doused with Febreze to try to mask the smell.

I had a buyer a little while back who bought around lunchtime then immediately messaged asking how quickly I could post. I generally post same or next day but I made the effort to get to the post office that day. She had the item in under 24 hours, never hit accept and never left me feedback. I'm still salty about it.

If you have time to buy items on Vinted you have time to press all okay and you’re selfish if you don’t.

She was probably my desperate for it to arrive in time for a holiday and once received just didn’t think about it. I have done precisely that.
