Vinted buyers who don’t hit everything okay

AIBU to be really pissed off?!

I sold an item for £55. Not an insignificant amount of cash. Everything was packaged perfectly and she’s said there’s nothing wrong with the item but won’t press everything is okay! What’s the point?!

You’ve been selling without checking payments? Okaaaaay

To be honest, I don't think I've pressed that button in two years. Parcels often sit unopened on the kirchen counter/forgotten in my car for at least 48 hours afterwards, and I don't log onto Vinted every day.

I don't really see it as an issue. The money gets automatically released within 72 hours anyway, nobody is obligated to do it sooner. If someone is that hard up for cash relying on a notoriously unreliable selling platform like Vinted is a horrible idea. Dozens of things could (and do) go wrong.

I’d suggest that in your listing you say that you require buyers to hit the button not wait for the default period to elapse otherwise buyers are not unreasonable to just play by the Vinted rules on this

How long did you take to post it? I had someone post an expensive item out to me on the last possible day. I decided she obviously wasn't in a hurry for her money. Petty I know.

Less than 24 hours. I pass the lockers everyday.

That was aimed at the poster who said she has £987 sitting in her vinted account that she had no idea about, but whose post has no disappeared.

I’m not a seller - I only use it to buy, I just have manners but okay.

I don’t leave feedback ( as a seller ) for anyone that hadn’t pressed all is ok, petty yes but it makes me feel better 🤣.
I always check item over asap and press all is ok , 99% of the time within a couple of hours

Personally, I’d find it irritating if someone messaged me as soon as I got the parcel. If I’m busy, I might not even open and inspect it for a couple of days.

Its not the buyers fault that you’ve got a problem with your finances. If they hadn’t bought it then you’d be getting no money anyway.

I rarely bother clicking everything is ok, it's only if I spot the notification and have a spare minute. I don't see it as an issue at all.

I sell on Vinted far more than I buy and don't even pay attention to whether buyers press it or not, the money all comes through either way whether it's one day or three. It's not worth getting worked up about surely?

Wow I do it as soon as I’ve checked the item. It’s never occurred to me not to!

I don’t mark everything as OK if there’s something that’s been a bit crap, like the seller took ages to post, or the item clearly needs to be washed etc.

I don't think I ever have but I am buying and selling small value items. I'm sure it's not critical for a few quid. I've never really noticed if buyers click everything is ok for the items I sell either.

I do it as soon as I've actually checked the item. It's "is everything ok" not "have you picked it up successfully. I know that doesn't strictly apply here but I do think expectations are unreasonable sometimes.

I do try to be prompt when it's possible but there have been several occasions when I've collected something but not then gone home or been able to properly look at it in the circumstances so it's had to wait until much later that day or the next day once, when I was working overnight.

I did used to open it asap and check it quickly so I could confirm but have stopped after doing this in poor light and quickly meant I missed some damage - some holes I only noticed when I tried it on and had already confirmed everything was fine so prevented myself from pursuing it.

If you have time to open your parcel you have time to open the app and hit a button.

And I do totally understand this, but in this instance the buyer had confirmed it was all fine. Looking at her reviews it seems she’s a bad buyer and seller, so I got lucky!

Unfortunately a lot of people are rude and lazy. It takes less than a minute to open the notification from Vinted and click everything is ok

This grips my shit! Sellers only get the money once that button is pressed. Otherwise you’ve got to wait a few days. Just press the button!

People have things to do that isn't sitting on Vinted waiting for the query to pop up

Well I guess it is if you need the money quickly.
I’ve never sold on Vinted and only very recently bought some stuff for the very first time, but I clicked it as I assumed most people would prefer the money released to them sooner rather than later.
