DDs friends dad is a Prick

Dd has a friend on the road who comes to stay regularly with her cousins and play, Dd plays with her but they have a love-hate relationship really. She’s the only child Ive seen Dd argue with, I’ve tried to cool things between them, but they still love to play together a lot of the times.
This friend often calls over the fence to Dd and vice versa to play. When friends dad is there, her friend isn’t allowed to our house, even though this child is the issue/hard work and the mum agrees, but she’s just a child
The other day, Dd heard her playing in the garden and called to ask if she was there and her dad loudly shouted back ‘No!’ and it all went quiet. Dd came inside a bit confused/upset

Was this a mean thing for him to do? What would you do?

There's a lot more than one 👍 misandry has to be called out, it's as bad as misogyny, the difference is women think it's ok directed towards men and not the other way round, as is body shaming.
If women want respect and to iradicate misogynistic behaviour they have to understand it's not acceptable towards men either. 🙂👍 X

A lot of women seem to think it's ok towards women too, given how freely the c-word is thrown about on MN.

Surely calling someone a prick or a cunt (or cockney rhyming slang berk) or cock or pussy etc is not body shaming in itself but fat prick or fat cunt etc would be

That really made me laugh. Coz yeh, we all go around as adults calling each other silly billies don’t we? 🤨

You'd probably be the first to cry misogyny and toxic masculinity if it was towards a female using similar terms !
It's nothing short of toxic femininity 👍

Nope. I can call a man a prick, he can call a woman a fanny 🤷🏻‍♀️
As an adult, I would not call another adult a silly billy or similar .. which is what the woke brigade seem to want. What I wouldn’t do however, is personally insult anyone by slurring their looks/mannerisms/features etc - no need for that at all.

We think in the same way then 👍 it's just unfortunate that only men get called toxic, women seem to be able to do exactly the same thing and nothing's said 🙄 x
