Hogging the hot tub

I'm a member of a spa local to me and go regularly to swim. Always relax in the jacuzzi/hot tub for a bit afterwards. I've never seen the like today- 2 men were in the hot tub for, I shit you not, an hour and a half. They were in there while I swam lengths for over an hour. No sign of them getting out and I saw other swimmers looking, clearly waiting for them to shift so they could have a turn. After over an hour of swimming I'm not caring, I wanted a rest so I got in (room for 6 people).

They stayed in there for another half hour!

AIBU that this is just not on and you move on to let people have a shot of the hot tub? There are plenty of other facilities like sauna and so on that they could have moved on to.

I just get in with people. It's not meant for exclusive use and if they've spread they just budge up to make room. It's never been a problem.

This isn't bannatyne is it? You got to assert yourself and just get in. But tbh it sounds like a small hot tub and I wouldn't fancy it being particularly clean, well as clean as it could be.

I didn't. I bloody got in. I still thought jt was a total brass neck. I go a lot and most people seem to navigate having a shot of the hot tub with a friend or two or even one person on their own for a while.

Just get in ..plenty of room. .their choice to stay in ...they isn't a queue as still space.

It seems very clean. The crazy thing is there is a much bigger hot tub like 6 times the size elsewhere in the spa, this one is just next to the pool. I got in just because I couldn't believe the cheek of them staying in so long.

I think for me it's how they not only hog the hot tub but just talk amongst themselves. So it doesn't feel particularly relaxing, especially when they try and involve you in the convo.

If they stay in a hot tub for an hour and a half they are taking 2 spaces from 2 people for an hour and a half. That's a wild amount of time.

It fits six but that many people understandably never get in as it's just too... cosy. No one likes that. Unless it's a group of friends you only ever see 3 or 4 in it.

Even if 3 other people joined after I did, they still took up 2 spaces for an hour and a half and I think that's cheeky and absolutely bonkers. Never seen the like before.

I don't think you use any facility at a spa for an hour and a half. You move on so that people can use everything. I've never seen anyone park up like that for so long.
