I put my front door key on the car bonnet for about 3 minutes whilst I brought the bin up the drive …. couldn’t pick it up afterwards as it was so hot!

I'm guarding it from creatures of the K9 variety.
Thankfully they are asleep indoors where it is cool so the experiment is on...

I think car might be more effective but I'm watching with interest 😁

I have eggs and a patio yet for some reason it's much more exciting to see how you get on with yours!

Does anyone want to join me and carry out the test on a variety of different surfaces?

I think that is probable. We need someone to be daring enough to stick it on their car bonnet or their neighbours.

I did this once on our tiled balcony during a summer in the UAE. It cooked fully very quickly, but was a pain to clear up!

Nah, too much hassle to clear up later for my liking. I will be interested to see the results of your experiment though!

Once the experiment is over, I shall hose the egg away on to the grass where the local wildlife can devour it. That's if sleeping K9's don't wake and ruin it first.

YANBU, as long as you eat it after.......with some sausage, bacon....maybe some beans, a tomatoe, couple of mushrooms perhaps, haha.

I remember having to try and cook a sausage outside when I was at primary school as a project - we had to try and create an 'oven' using lots of tin foil and cardboard to concentrate the sun and see who's cooked the sausage the best.
(Funnily enough, nobody succeeded and we just ended up with lots of pale dried out looking sausages...)
