Thats a good point. I have a hose on stand by but I cannot back down now.
i'm losing serious heat hours and other posters are overtaking me.

I have 30-odd chickens in the back garden. We haven't found any hard-boiled eggs out there yet.

My yolk is cooking. It is a mild 36 here!!!

I have just realised that I am doing this out back. The front of my house is hotter so tomorrow will be a new experiment but let's see how this one completes first.

I think we should all be ready to begin tomorrow at the same time as it is supposed to be hotter tomorrow.

Thanks for this, I'm now sat debating which of my garden furniture / decor might be most likely to cook an egg and I'm WFH tomorrow so could use distractions.

I reckon you could boil an egg if you put one while inside car. I think it’s need to be 50-60+ to hard set, but don’t they say that’s why cars in heat are so dangerous to children/ dogs if forgotten as they get much much hotter than outside temperatures.

Mum just messaged she reckons tomorrow 2pm here in east Cheshire 36c perfect temp for frying

We're camping so it’s in a frying pan with a tbsp of vegetable oil on top of a black plastic storage bin (just for full scientific disclosure 😂).

It’s had 10 minutes so far.

I can recall during the heatwave of 76 that almost all of the newspapers had their reporters out frying eggs on the pavement to see if it would work.
