Aquafaba could work! Could try vegan meringue- that only needs a low temp 😂

@HangingOver definitely give the aquafaba a go! Whizz it up into meringue mix and then experiment 😁. You could get some apricot halves for “yolks” 😂

Don't try an egg on the car for ffs sake. I did it as a kid and the paint came off. We were in massive trouble.

Placemarking as I'll be joining the eggsperiment tomorrow from sunny Hampshire.

No oil sadly (often ‘dry fry’ eggs anyway).
I set the pan out on a hot paving slab to preheat before adding the egg. Regular checks with the heat gun revealed a maximum temp of 41.2°c. After an hour I had a slight white tinge on the outer egg and after 2 hours, a slightly papery dry effect on the egg white that had run thin within the pan.
Fun but quite disappointing.

Fortunately my NDN has prolific hens and our consumption doesn't keep up with what she palms off kindly gives us, so we have a few old ones I'm lining up for tomorrow!
