Brioche buns with burgers...

Why oh why has every pub, restaurant, and street food vendor decided that burgers should now be served in brioche buns?

Brioche does not go with burgers! Burgers are savory and brioche is like cake!

Did the Uk get a load of brioche in our Brexit deal or something?

Oh I agree with you! I just want a regular burger bun when I have a burger. I find the brioche too sweet at the best of times and it's so eggy. Yuk!

But sweet and savoury DO go together. One of the nicest burgers I’ve had was topped with bacon and toasted marshmallows. Sounds awful, tasted divine!

I much prefer brioche with a burger, plain white bread is just dry and boring.

I generally dont eat burger buns (apart from maccy d) as I dont want to be too full for chips and pudding

Agree completely, infact I can't think of anything that does belong on a brioche bun.

I don't mind brioche buns though I have had one or two that were to sweet but generally I prefer the old school sesame seeded buns.

I have found my tribe! I like brioche, I like burgers, but not the 2 together.

I have held a bbq this evening and I had both brioche and plain buns on offer

it depends what's on the burger. Sometimes it goes, sometimes not.

Or when a hot dog comes in a brioche bun. That is definitely wrong

I wont eat a burger if it doesnt come with brioche. There. Ive said it and im sticking with it.

Americans have chicken burgers made with waffles and maple syrup so this is only just the start.
