If you voted for BJ, how are you feeling now, when even the man who masterminded his entire campaign is telling you BJ was never fit to be PM?

I’m interested to hear - if you voted for “Sovereignty,” or to “Take Back Control” or whatever, how does it now feel to discover that even the mastermind of the Brexit campaign had no confidence in the man he persuaded you to believe in and vote for?

Do you feel played? Which side will you be taking now - Team BJ? Or team DC?

I'd be more concerned for my sanity if I believed Cummings, how he has gone from being the A1 pariah to being the darling of the left!!!

Specsavers also do things to help one's hearing.

Firstbornunicorn · 30/05/2021 13:22

Team neither of them. They are both snakes.

dramaqueen · 30/05/2021 13:22

Bit rich of DC to whinge about the toxic culture he helped create. He needs to bugger off somewhere and shut up.

Firstbornunicorn · 30/05/2021 13:22

(But I would rather shit in my hands and clap than vote Tory anyway)

Whammyyammy · 30/05/2021 13:24

I would be concerned for my own well being if I believed a word Cummings said. Let's all think about his self eye sight test....

Hazelnutlatteplease · 30/05/2021 13:27

I don't find DC a particularly credible witness

Chemenger · 30/05/2021 13:27

So if you don’t believe Cummings (which is completely understandable) does that mean you have faith in the judgement of the man who appointed him and relied heavily on his advice?

Bythemillpond · 30/05/2021 13:28

Who else was there to vote for?

Babymeanswashing · 30/05/2021 13:30

What were the alternatives?

It’s all well and good stating the above but it wasn’t just a Tory victory. It was a landslide victory. And it’s continued recently, it isn’t as if there’s overwhelming evidence that things would have been different if people had only known X.

The tories are in power and they are going to stay in power. So I’m personally going to continue with my life with that knowledge.

Chemenger · 30/05/2021 13:30

@Bythemillpond

Who else was there to vote for?
Yes, that’s what Cumming’s campaign told you to think.
Babymeanswashing · 30/05/2021 13:31

Never mind the campaign, genuinely, who else was there to vote for?

mintice · 30/05/2021 13:31

Yes they are both snakes and always were, obviously. BJ wax in the fence about leaving the EU and only went to that side once persuaded by DC it would be a good career move.

But by saying BJ was never fit to be PM and is only there because the other option was JC, he is effectively telling “the people” who voted Tory (for the first time ever in many cases) that they feetr daft enough to fall for his spin. It’s insulting those who put him in power in the first place - “”Ha, you fools who fell for my social experiment...”

Babymeanswashing · 30/05/2021 13:33

So what are you trying to get at OP? I don’t mean that to sound arsey - it’s just I’m not sure.

If it’s a kind of ‘haha fooled you’ then I’m not sure how successful it would be.

TheLeadbetterLife · 30/05/2021 13:35

Anyone who can't see right through Boris Johnson deserves what they get by voting for him as far as I'm concerned. Apparently that means most of the UK (well, England anyway), so I'm very glad I don't live there anymore.

Cummings is a snake in the grass too. They can all enjoy the fallout they've created from their little Brexit project.

Johnson is the most obvious and blatant liar UK politics has ever seen. Evidently a lot of people are either too stupid to see it, or simply don't care.

AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair · 30/05/2021 13:36

The electorate votes for their own local MP, obviously BJ has constituents but I'm sure I'm not unique in deciding who to vote for based on my judgement of the qualities for my own constituents regardless of the leader of their party

Neither BJ or DC had any influence on how I voted and neither did JC or any labour party advisors

It wasn't an easy choice for me and I considered it in the round. I hope that's what others do too.

yellowspanner · 30/05/2021 13:38

I voted for Boris...at least I voted Tory and would again. DC is toxic and I could never believe a word he says. People called him the evil genius. But now he is suddenly truthful and credible.

mintice · 30/05/2021 13:40

What I’m trying to get at is that clearly a lot people really believed in the Leave campaign and BJ and Cummings were the face of this. It’s why they’ve both been like Teflon ever since - almost a weird cult following among some. But if even the man who masterminded Boris’ rise to power thinks he’s an utter incompetent - what must he think of the people who were manipulated to vote for that? It’s as if he’s speaking to the nation with sheer contempt and not even trying to hide it anymore.

OP posts:
Babymeanswashing · 30/05/2021 13:41

I doubt most people care what Cummings thinks about them!

thatllberight · 30/05/2021 13:41

Is he fuck the "darling of the left". Both full of shit. No surprises.

PinkiOcelot · 30/05/2021 13:42

Funny how DC is saying all of this now though isn’t it?! Reeks of sour grapes.

Ahhh and I didn’t vote for Bojo!!

This, all day long.

Cummings was every kind of liar a few weeks ago, now his every word is gospel. It’s incredible to see.

Chemenger · 30/05/2021 13:44

It’s fine to want to vote Tory, absolutely that is your decision to make. However, as Tory voters are you happy with the quality of leadership of your chosen party.?

They never were hiding it. The lies and contempt were plain. It's like a social experiment into how much shit you can get people to swallow.

Doesn't help that Labour were a disaster throughout as well of course.

Are you kidding? Dominic Cummings is only bashing Boris Johnson because he is bitter and angry and he is lashing out. Why did he not say all this before? Too chicken shit I guess?

He says he is not fit to be Prime Minister. (And you obviously agree!) So who is then? Who IS fit to be Prime Minister?
