My children are off school with very bad colds (not covid!)
I want to see my friend at her house tonight we had this arranged however she's backed out last second saying that it's not a good idea to meet while my DC are poorly as she can't risk being unwell at the moment which has upset me as it's not covid and I'm not unwell.
Whose being unreasonable?

Your children are poorly enough to be off school. Then you have to accept that your friend has a right to say no to you visiting and possibly passing it on.

I think you are. You might not be poorly now but you could be poorly later (hopefully not), or you could pass the bug on to your friend. Just because it’s not Covid, doesn’t mean people want to get ill.

Have we learned nothing from the past year? If you OR ANY OF YOUR CLOSE CONTACTS are poorly, stay home. No one wants your sniffles or cough. You probably still carry some of it even if you aren't suffering symptoms.

Even if there was no pandemic, you'd still be the unreasonable one!
