Anyway, I’ve just binged Life on Mars and I’m now on Ashes to Ashes, and can I just say that Gene Hunt makes me swoon. To quote a mumsnet classic, he gives me the fanny gallops!

Well, Gene Hunt was an arsehole in many ways but he was ''real'' man, a man's man, right? I miss 70s men - they make me horny too, OP.

I recently rewatched Life on Mars and loved it, it was so refreshing seeing people punching each other in the face every 5 minutes, rather than all the sappy good-goody boring shit of today. The ending of Life of Mars was fantastic.
