I’ve been furloughed so I’m watching far too much Netflix.

Anyway, I’ve just binged Life on Mars and I’m now on Ashes to Ashes, and can I just say that Gene Hunt makes me swoon. To quote a mumsnet classic, he gives me the fanny gallops!

But he's definitely shag material, not for a relationship.

He would have got old very quickly if you were living or God Forbid, having kids with him.

Oh do it spongedog.. he loved the cars and action and it was a really lovely time for us to share something and spend time together... I'm crap on a Xbox and it's that age when we don't have much in common so was a big plus!

Oooh yes! I once had a moment where we did an eyes lock/ double take as he was driving past in his open-top car and I was walking the dog (it was MANY years ago and I may have been imagining its intensity - but it's my memory and I like it :))

Was that the series where he wanted to bend her over the desk in order to rubber stamp her?

Didn't fancy him in Life on Mars, but the chemistry between him and Alex in Ashes to Ashes was some of the best I've seen on TV! That scene where they get locked in the archive room in the secret military compound, and its all hot and airless and they think they're going to die, Alex takes off her shirt and he says "oh Lord is this a test, for I fear I may fail" - SO sexy!

For people who don't fancy him in other roles - didn't you see Cranford? He was lovely in that. Very different to Gene Hunt, but a really likeable character.

Philip Glenister is hot!!!! I prefer him with a manc accent. He sounds odd normal! 😂

Just introduced DD (13) to LoM and Ashes - she loves them. Definitely some of the best TV in the Uk.... and yes, Gene Hunt is hot!
