AIBU To ask that the BBC stops discriminating against men and boys by not allowing them to have a Men's Hour on radio 4.
Women have a woman's hour to discuss and air issues for women, but men do not.
If we want equality shouldn't we ask the BBC to give men the same, after all what harm would it do to us if men had the same arena to discuss there issues.
Equality means the same rights for all.

Seriously, half the issues they discuss are parenting issues rather than women’s issues anyway.

If men want a men’s hour, it is up to them to ask for one.

Maybe when men have suffered millenia of prejudice and discrimination, violence and hatred, a slot will become available - just five hours a week, mind - for them.

I am not suggesting getting rid of woman's hour, but having a men's hour as well.
If there is or was a men's hour it was not on Radio 4.
It seems there are a lot of posters on this site who do not want there Fathers, husbands or sons to have the same as there mothers and daughters, I think they must be Feminist who do not like men.

Vicky, do you have a bit more information about this? Why do you say the BBC has not allowed it - are you suggesting that someone pitched the idea to Radio 4 and it was turned down?

I have asked many times for a men's hour but have been ignored.
I am hoping that now so much is in the news about discrimination that things might change.
Apparently half the audience for woman's hour are men, wouldn't women like to hear about men's issues as well.

What do you mean, did women have to ask for it? Someone must have had the idea originally and pitched it to Radio 4 and been accepted.

Vicky, before you get all worked up about Men's Hour, you need to work on basic spelling and grammar issues. Men's Hour is the least of your problems at the moment.
