By throwing themselves into the often politely ignored issues around community integration and extremism I think they will be stealing a big chunk of the Tory vote again.

Especially the removal of passports from anyone leaving the country to fight for ISIS.

Unfortunately it is extremely easy to enter the UK - either with a fake passport, or a real passport but not your own, or without a passport at all on the back of a truck.

People who are known to have fought for ISIS tend to be arrested and charged on their return to the UK, so not a great way of moving a terror cell in.

The three schoolgirls who left to join so called IS went on fake passports I believe. They are not that difficult to come by in criminal circles. The bomber also had family in Libya, so did have a legitimate reason for travelling there.

Under CURRENT rules he would have been arrested on his return.

How is UKIP going to guarantee anybody's rights to anything, precisely, with the 1 seat, if any, they will get in this election? In the absence of proportional representation in the UK, your vote is wasted unless you vote strategically. If your local UKIP candidate stands any chance and you want them to win (why? you don't quite seem to understand the law as it stands, so can you explain how the UKIP policy will improve things?), then by all means vote for him or her, but otherwise you should spend your vote wisely on the party who is more LIKELY to get in, so that your vote will actually count.

Also, bear in mind that safe in the knowledge that they are finished in politics, for the time being, UKIP can make any fanciful pledges that enter their heads (one in, one out?? Seriously?), whereas the Tories and Labour both actually face the risk of winning and being held somewhat accountable.

Yet this silent majority doesn't seem to vote for them. Gives me hope for humanity, that does.

I think some things UKIP wants to do will need to be revised because they will prove incendiary, and you need to actually have policies that care for everyone you are responsible for if you seek political power, including "faith communities".

Even so, the political establishment has royally shot itself in the foot in many ways, and our Prime Minister is truly in the last chance saloon in proving that the safety of ordinary people and their kids in the UK is even on the establishment priority list anywhere. Which is sad, because behind the scenes an awful lot of people are working hard to keep people safe, did anyone but know it.

Probably an even bigger chunk of Labour's traditional core vote on this issue - the people who bear the physically and sexually violent brunt of what is being called "integration problems" seem to mostly be little girls in traditional Labour areas. Let's not get into that dreadful sad nightmare (yet another dreadful sad nightmare), but surely some former labour voters will be searching for a party because they can't bring themselves to vote Tory.

I really don't think UKIP have a plan. It's not about making improvements to health services or transport or reducing taxes, it's just about immigration. They're too focused, which is why I think they're downright useless and should be extinct.
