to think breastfeeding is no different to formula

Whats the big deal. I want to bottlefeed. Stop putting me under pressure. I had dd2 a week ago and im happy to bottle feed. But im sick of being judged by everyone about it. I quite like my boobs up where there supposed to be and personally if formula was that bad, they wouldnt sell it.

Personally bf is way overated.
I know I will be slated for this but I had to rant. Whole family is judging me for it

Yawn.

TheNewSofa · 18/04/2014 21:11

I wasnt interested in breastfeeding

There are far more formula fed babies than breastfed

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 18/04/2014 21:12

YABU because it's not the same. But whatever, do what you want, they are your tits.
They will sag either way if they are going to, pregnancy and engorgement fucks them rather than feeding.

Bunbaker · 18/04/2014 21:12

Another yawn

You can feed your baby how you like, but there is a good reason that breastfeeding is promoted so heavily.

Lilithmoon · 18/04/2014 21:13

What an interetsing topic for a first post OP.

Liara · 18/04/2014 21:14

So long as you feed your baby, do it as you want.

I personally valued my child's health more than the position of my tits, but to each their own.

BlessedAssurance · 18/04/2014 21:14

You don't say!!

indyandlara · 18/04/2014 21:14

Don't judge you for formula feeding but I do for incorrectly using there.

IsChippyMintonExDirectory · 18/04/2014 21:15

YABU. And quite thick TBH to think they're no different. They are vastly different. And your boobs will sag because you've been pregnant, not if you breastfeed. Congratulations, you are a product of a very clever and heavily funded marketing scheme which aims to make women believe ridiculous myths and make them feel the way they look is more important than how they feed their baby.

shakinstevenslovechild · 18/04/2014 21:15

Why don't you rant to the people who judge you for it in rl instead of trying to kick off another bf very ff fight on here then?

whitepuddingsupper · 18/04/2014 21:15

The end result is pretty much the same, you can't tell by looking at an older child if they were bf or ff. As long as the baby is fed, happy and bonded with their caregiver(s) that's all that matters.

iamusuallybeingunreasonable · 18/04/2014 21:16

Oi!! I'm not sagging and I'm on DC2 and done three years time served feeding, if anything they got smaller, but formula feed if you want to, it's not the law is it, to breastfeed and who cares what anyone else thinks anyway!!

Alisvolatpropiis · 18/04/2014 21:16

Reality is, the only thing that matters to the baby is that it is fed.

So, do as you like.

leavemealoneok · 18/04/2014 21:17

My grandmother and mum have had sly comments all week. Im tired, I want this to be a happy time. I dont want to be made feel even worse than I already do

OP posts:
LingDiLong · 18/04/2014 21:17

It's the inflating with milk and then deflating that fucks up your boobs. And you can't escape that even if you formula feed. Breastfeeding delays the deflation though. So basically your boobs are fucked up earlier than if you'd chosen to breastfeed. Well done.

EyelinerQueen · 18/04/2014 21:17

What Chippy said.

And I breastfed for two years and my tits are still exactly as perky and full as before, just a cup size bigger. Win win!

RufusTheReindeer · 18/04/2014 21:18

Do what you like

And as other people have said it the pregnancy and milk that makes you breasts engorge and sag, not the actual feeding

Fleta · 18/04/2014 21:18

I quite like my boobs up where there supposed to be

I breastfeed for 3.5 years. And my tits are still exactly where they used to be...

YABU - bf and formula feeding are not the same.

ThursdayConsuelaLast · 18/04/2014 21:18

Ding ding ding ding ding.

Offler · 18/04/2014 21:18

The vast amount of cash I saved by breastfeeding will come in handy to 'revive' my boobs should they need it. Hmm

hotcrosshunny · 18/04/2014 21:19

YABU

You come across as incredibly defensive.

Bf is better. However it might not be the best choice for some.

IsChippyMintonExDirectory · 18/04/2014 21:19

I bReastfeed and I have fabulous tits

If you were truly happy with your choice would you be posting here?
