Shit leaving, how many bottles do you have? Welcome back. And to accidentalaccountant, safe journey.

MadameF · 17/03/2020 15:15

At least we can still eat and drink.
No wine ratios here!

Frouby · 17/03/2020 15:15

water good idea about a positive new thread.

I am really getting anxious about it now. Shall we make a new rule? We want to talk about the C word because it's so big and in our faces, plus we need to know we are all OK as Ok can be.

So we make a rule that we can only mention it once a day each? And definitely no political stuff cos therein lies madness and there are a fuckton of c threads we can debate the political side.

So we do a daily update on our situation like 'out of bog roll, fresh veg and pasta. Kids driving me mad and I am really worried about x, y or z'. But the follow it up with a positive post 'but my house has never looked as clean'.

That way we get off our chests to our mates in here what is bothering us but also be a bit Pollyanna and find a good thing as well.

Mine today are I need to do some food shopping and am dreading it so getting up early tomorrow. But went for a lovely walk around the lake with the kids and the dog and am going to insist we do it daily for however long this lasts.

Will think of a snazzy thread title while I have a long bath. I picked up some paint today to shabby shit my bedroom furniture. Wanted new but think that will be off the cards this year so just going to jazz up the existing ones. Also going to sow a load of seeds tomorrow. Will be scattered around the windowsills so a bit of a pita but it's only for a few weeks until they are through and big enough to pot on, then they can take their chances in the polytunnel. And my chickens must know about the current slight egg shortage and have gone from 2 or 3 a day back up to 5 or 6 so that's good anyway. .

Won't be dry. I really should be but I think AF is something to think about next week.

Am weljel of a wine delivery. I need wine too. Going to check my stash cupboard.

We buy wine 4 times a year normally and the last time wasn’t that long ago but we have put a worrying dent in it.

MadameF · 17/03/2020 16:15

😂😂leaving
It looks like if the C doesn't kill us liver disease probably will. Not easy to be AF at the moment especially when in confinement with 2 teenagers

Waterandlemonjuice · 17/03/2020 16:58

Omg Madame, 2 teenagers, yuk. Sorry, but yuk! Good luck!

Dd and I have made up, phew. I’m probably saving being AF for next week too. I did drink last night but only 2 glasses of wine which I consider v moderate.

Good idea Frouby, I don’t want to tell people what to talk about but I love this thread and have been posting on it for ages so don’t want to make anyone any more worried than they already are.

Dionysa · 17/03/2020 20:38

Thanks, Frouby. That sounds ideal.

As previously mentioned, I'm going to try to avoid talking about the C word. It looks as if I'm going to be stuck with both teenagers, though, as their schools are bound to shut and XH is self-isolating for any kind of foreseeable future. FML, FML, FML, FML, FML.

I will not be dry.

NC4Now · 17/03/2020 21:04

Yep, two teenagers here too. Things are still relatively normal for now, thank god. I’m being advised to continue going to work, and keep up the gym, with suitable precautions. So I am.
I’m attempting to be AF and healthy while it’s still fairly easy as I must confess, I’m worried about putting weight on during isolation.
I mean, it’s basically like Christmas, isn’t it?

Madame why do you need papers when you go running? My friends and I have just been discussing the logistics of exercise in lockdown.

NC4Now · 17/03/2020 21:06

Also: what’s everyone watching on telly at the moment?
I fancy a decent film...

Dionysa · 17/03/2020 21:08

Oh God, am I going to have to buy a telly?! Grin

I might have to take up cross-stitch or something other than drinking

MadameF · 17/03/2020 21:40

NC4 it is the emergency law. We have the right to go out either to work, to go to the doctor, to visit elderly relatives in need, to go food shopping or to walk the dog or physical exercise for a short period near where you live alone.

In all of these cases we need carry a document stating the date, name, address and purpose of why we are not at home. Police are now checking everyone who is outside in public.

If we don't have the paper we aie fined, 38€ to 235€

As Macron said, we are at war,

NC4Now · 17/03/2020 22:30

Wowsers Madame!

Dion I’m going to get back into my crochet I think. If I can stay awake long enough anyway. I slept for 9.5 hours last night and still needed half an hour on the sofa when I got in from work 😂

Waterandlemonjuice · 18/03/2020 04:20

Got pissed, woke on sofa at 4am.

HUGE upside: was able to edit the Ocado order for my mum for next week - there’s a 2 hour wait to get on the website during the day. Silver lining extraordinare!
