Hi all!

As the title says - what are the little luxuries that are worth spending a bit more on for you? Just little bits that make you feel more intentional, I like a thin silk scrunchie for my hair instead of a normal hair band. It just makes me feel a bit put together.

I just thought of another, genuinely everyday, luxury. I'm picky about pencils. Not even drawing pencils - just the ones you buy every so often to give your children or have around the house. Writing pencils. Life is too short to buy shitty no-name HB pencils whose leads break whenever you try to sharpen them. I want a decent wooden pencil, with wood and graphite that takes sharpening with a scalpel beautifully. So I only ever buy the yellow and black striped Staedtler pencils (usually in multiple packs). There you go - affordable yet discerning. An everyday little luxury.

This thread is causing me to head off to Waitrose today to buy some posh French butter for my wanky bakery-purchased sourdough. Grin

I agree about the pencils!! As a child I only had terrible ones that were very faint / barely any colour and I spent more time sharpening them colouring!! So disheartening to a child. I usually buy the red / classic/ kids faber castell colouring pencils and they’re fantastic. I’ve even buy some as gifts when on offer on Amazon, paired with a colouring book. I figure decent colouring pencils are a luxury and make a great gift alongside a colouring or sketch book.
