Hi all!

As the title says - what are the little luxuries that are worth spending a bit more on for you? Just little bits that make you feel more intentional, I like a thin silk scrunchie for my hair instead of a normal hair band. It just makes me feel a bit put together.

My moisturiser £95 a pot and I got through 4 a year! My little treat to myself

IsthataNo · 27/05/2026 20:00

@FlipFlopZebra what moisturiser

Quality bath towels, quality leather shoes, 80/20 carpets, duck or goose down pillows, skilled hair cuts.

Where do you get bath towels? John lewis ones that used to last years now turn to cardboard almost immediately

@FlipFlopZebra what moisturiser

Elemis Marine Day Cream I think? SPF50

Only one I have ever got on with. Fortunately lots of influencers often have Elemis discount codes though 😆

Footwear. I don’t like cheap footwear.

Moonstarsrain · 27/05/2026 20:14

Nice blinds that competent the room and go with any decor changes. I bought really nice wooden slat ones and I love them!

Also a decent moisturiser and good quality towels and bedding.

Poonu · 27/05/2026 20:15

Coffee

TheChosenTwo · 27/05/2026 20:16

Haha I’ve just read through this and nodded along to almost everything (although not supplements, I don’t use those) 😂
I like my mundane things to be luxurious, makes life feel a bit brighter and more joyful.

Lola001 · 27/05/2026 20:19

Meat from the butchers.
Rather a smaller amount and it be decent.

craftycowbag · 27/05/2026 20:19

Coleslaw and fruit from Marks and Spencer. Berries particularly in the summer. Good coffee, very good white wine. I’ve still never found towels that don’t go crunchy without using the tumble dryer.

TwinklyRoseTurtle · 27/05/2026 20:21

I try to buy everything I possibly can good quality- good mattress pillows, duvets, bedding. Food, coffee, skincare, clothes, cars and holidays. I think it’s all worth it if you can.

JacknDiane · 27/05/2026 20:22

Blitz kitchen roll

I feel like the queen of sheba when I buy it.

Didn’t think of holidays. Yes, 5 star Barbados now and then. Fabulous.

RuffledKestrel · 27/05/2026 20:23

Twice yearly private comprehensive blood tests.
The over the counter style finger prick ones are not accurate.
SLS free shampoo and nice conditioner.
Bread from the bakery.
Nice feeling underwear.

IggyAce · 27/05/2026 20:25

Nuxe lip balm
good quality chocolate, I prefer dark.

SeriousFaffing · 27/05/2026 20:28

Coffee, bread, cashmere jumpers.

Edited to add, also agree with bedsheets and towels.

What bedding do you recommend?

A lot that pp have mentioned. Also, a really nice handwash - got an Apothecary (M and S) atm, and matching hand lotion.

We buy Panini(s) to make coffee-shop style toasted sandwiches - started doing this in covid and never turned back! We have a hot plate but they are also good in the air fryer. I'd make them for the kids on nice plates with babycinos.

It’s so worth it isn’t it x

lostinmagic · 27/05/2026 20:43

Toilet paper, hair care, skin care, crisps, footwear, oh and baked beans - branstons or nothing here 😂

TheTortiePuffinNeedsHerBreakfast · 27/05/2026 20:43

Molton Brown shower gel. I buy it whenever it's on sale.

Good quality cotton bedding

Good quality food for my cats. Makes their coats so shiny.

Littlepiggietoes · 27/05/2026 20:44

Ooh yes, nice candles definitely. And decent loo paper - I like the coconut scented quilted ones. Fresh flowers too, I’ve always got fresh flowers in a vase in the kitchen.
