Hi all!

As the title says - what are the little luxuries that are worth spending a bit more on for you? Just little bits that make you feel more intentional, I like a thin silk scrunchie for my hair instead of a normal hair band. It just makes me feel a bit put together.

Scented candles, and unfortunately I mean the ones that are around £50. They last forever though so hopefully the longevity makes up for the actual price!

mumofoneAloneandwell · 27/05/2026 18:39

Magnums rather than the own brand lollies

ShakyBake · 27/05/2026 18:45

Toilet paper.
The difference from Newspaper - 1 ply - double quilted - 4 ply (Andrex supreme) is worth spending the extra on.

FeltCarrot · 27/05/2026 18:46

President butter, so much nicer than lurpak!

PivotPivotmakingmargaritas · 27/05/2026 18:48

A good moisturiser and cleanser. I really do feel the difference with more expensive brands and my skin looks brighter too

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 27/05/2026 18:48

I buy several expensive fabric conditioners at once. The Tallow & Ash ones. I have three on the go at the moment.

Professional hair colour and cutting. I spend what seems like a small fortune on it. My God it’s worth it though.

GameOfJones · 27/05/2026 18:52

Organic butter and milk. It tastes better and is higher in Omega 3. I would never go back to spreads now I use proper butter.

onwardandupwards · 27/05/2026 18:58

Butter and eggs from our local farm shop. 15 mixed eggs for £5 and they are lovely

Mary46 · 27/05/2026 19:08

Good bedsheets. Nice hair products as my hair is thick. Great thread

Morepositivemum · 27/05/2026 19:12

Milk, bread and butter!

Treetreetreetree · 27/05/2026 19:15

It’s the intangibles for me.

Exercise classes
Good haircut
Skin treatments (hydrafacials, RF microneedling, etc.)
Supplements
Good diet

millmoo · 27/05/2026 19:22

Good face cream.

Zempy · 27/05/2026 19:26

Which ones would you recommend? I’ve tried Neom and The White Company but not impressed with either. Maybe it’s my sense of smell but I can barely smell these ones!

Londonmummy66 · 27/05/2026 19:29

Sheets, towels, butter (President), mushrooms and my gym (basically a London club with a gymn in the basement)

LathkillDale · 27/05/2026 19:29

Coffee - I consider instant coffee a sort of hot drink; but not in the same league as say an espresso.
Bread - we try to eat the healthier versions, especially from a bakery; not supermarkets’ white sliced
Toilet paper - what is the point of one ply, which motorway service stations have?
Quiche, cakes, etc - homemade, because they taste so much better than shop made

Phoenix1Arisen · 27/05/2026 19:30

Quality bath towels, quality leather shoes, 80/20 carpets, duck or goose down pillows, skilled hair cuts.

bedfrog · 27/05/2026 19:35

Organic food!
Milk from the milkman (also Organic)
Natural materials (wood, linen, cotton)
Toiletries from the health food shop (they smell amazing)
Posh tea
Local honey
Things I'd never buy full price but are cheap in a charity shop - cut glass, cookbooks, beautiful china, paintings
Pears soap. Love the smell
Homemade bread

M and S berries and fruit. More expensive but lasts the whole week and doesn’t go off

Milk, bread and butter!

The very best bread I've ever tried is Aldis toasting sourdough. It's divine. Expensive salted butter to go on it though!!
San Pelligrino fizzy drinks.
Home cooked food for my dog.
A very expensive fan.
Le Chameau wellies.
Eborian cc cream
Longleys cottage cheese.

bolognazey · 27/05/2026 19:50

Good biscuits! The luxury / finest biscuits and cookies are much nicer than a plain biscuit.

ManyShapesOfPasta · 27/05/2026 19:52

Greek yoghurt

evilharpy · 27/05/2026 19:53

Fruit from M&S. It just seems to last longer and taste nicer than fruit from anywhere else - blueberries in particular.

Actually all M&S food, if I was rich I would only shop there and nowhere else.
