Why won’t (some) Vinted buyers press the “everything is ok” button?!

I have spent the last few weeks selling a huge amount of things on Vinted, and at least half the buyers have not bothered confirming everything is ok. I know Vinted automatically assumes it is ok after 2 days then the funds are released, but surely it’s just good manners not to make the seller wait. Especially if you have asked them to post it quickly if you need an item for World Book Day! I always send within max 48 hours. If I am bothering to sell lots of things for £1 or £2 each then it’s reasonable to assume I want/need that money asap. Interested to hear what others think.

I'm another person for whom the speed of marking everything is OK largely depends on the condition of the item received, parcels usually opened the day I collect them.

I've bought 3 summer dresses recently, all advertised as very good condition. Dress 1 - small stain, I wasn't marking as OK until I'd washed it to see if the stain would come out. Dress 2 - very happy with it, marked as OK and left positive feedback. Dress 3 - smelt musty, so again I wasn't marking as OK until I'd washed it in case the smell didn't come out with washing.

One thing I can't stand is being hassled eg a parcel arrived at the locker when I was at work, seller messaged 2 or 3 times in a few hours to tell me to pick it up, even after I said I was at work. I collected it on my way home and was then being hassled to mark it as OK before I'd had chance to open it. That seller did get their OK before I went to bed, but did not get feedback.

How about £150? That’s the position I find myself waiting in right now. The buyer is also a seller so knows full well that she’s delaying my payment. Item was sent the day after purchase in perfect condition, she got herself a good deal after haggling on price.

I assume she’s just an ignorant cunt.

She's not delaying your payment. If you can't cope with the 48 hour window don't sell on Vinted.

I've already posted on this thread saying the same thing but it's a Vinted issue IMO.

No I am not going to tap "everything is okay" within 90 seconds of collecting my package as I've not even bloody opened it yet.

You get the reminder so quickly from Vinted, it's silly.

That said I never make the seller wait the 48h but usually it's a little while between me collecting / receiving package and opening it.

Edited

Very true. I collect mine from a locker and might not get the opportunity to open it for hours

Since I nearly collapsed sending this parcel the same day through a 14 year illness I will wait till the last minute to post in future if they can't be bothered to press a button on their phone why should I nearly end up in hospital making sure people get their parcel quick

Good grief, I hope you’re ok. I’m sure a buyer wouldn’t put you to the trouble at if only you’d mentioned it in the first place.

This.

It auto-completes in 2 days. Can you really not wait that long OP?

I can wait, and do, it’s simply a little pet-hate of mine that I like to moan about sometimes 😁. I still use Vinted a lot.
