Why won’t (some) Vinted buyers press the “everything is ok” button?!

I have spent the last few weeks selling a huge amount of things on Vinted, and at least half the buyers have not bothered confirming everything is ok. I know Vinted automatically assumes it is ok after 2 days then the funds are released, but surely it’s just good manners not to make the seller wait. Especially if you have asked them to post it quickly if you need an item for World Book Day! I always send within max 48 hours. If I am bothering to sell lots of things for £1 or £2 each then it’s reasonable to assume I want/need that money asap. Interested to hear what others think.

Hmm maybe I need to up my game. All my purchases are pretty low value but I never do the ‘everything is ok’ and I never leave reviews. When selling I dispatch very quickly and items are very well packaged. I’m not bothered if people don’t click the ‘everything is ok’ and not bothered if they don’t leave me a review.

Posters on this thread who say they never leave reviews - do you read a seller's reviews before you buy?

No

I have a quick look at how many stars a seller has, and only read last couple of reviews of its 4 or less - to try and avoid the ones who don’t bother actually posting the item which then means a delay of 1-2 weeks for a refund.

I’m not angry about the people who don’t confirm the order is ok, I just find it annoying. So much so that I have started a thread about it, but not enough to keep me awake at night 😁

I will still keep using Vinted in any case, I find it quicker to list things.

It’s not always because people don’t have manners. Sometimes it is because they are not happy with the item so don’t want to click the “everything is ok” button. Sometimes it’s not worth returning the item especially since there is a chance that you will have to pay the return costs. However, it is not “ok” so the button is not pressed .

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 14/03/2026 21:08

I would never think about Vinted or the seller again if it was all ok I would never think to tell anyone

Seems to be two kinds of people, the really diligent and the plain rude.

Ive bought a few things off vinted never heard of that button ????

i am certainly not rude , i always do my uber feedback and tip because the window pops up - no vinted thing has popped up . Would not occur to me to scour the app for a button

maybe you need to raise it with vinted snd make it more in your face ?

This is the button I mean, it shows in the Vinted inbox, and they also send a reminder email about it, hopefully the images have attached.

Calm down.. it's two days not two weeks!!

Handeyethingyowl · 15/03/2026 19:18

Wait, so the selller waits two days if we don’t click the button?

Namechangeforthis88 · 15/03/2026 22:29

I have a billion things to do that will only take a minute or two. Hitting the Vinted button is the only one that will just do itself in a couple of days.

Never.

stickydough · 16/03/2026 10:30

I’ve only used vinted a handful of times, loyal to eBay! But I didn’t know this was involved in releasing the money. I just assumed it was an annoying ‘would you like to give feedback’ type email and ignored. So thank you for educating me, I will pay more attention next time I use.

LondonMumo23 · 16/03/2026 10:35

I had no idea this delayed funds - though it makes sense I never thought about it - will definitely click it on future! Think I became weary of Vinted notifications because it wants you to review everything so just started ignoring them

xogossipgirlxo · 16/03/2026 10:39

I don’t know honestly. I know people want their money released so I check parcel as soon as I can. Also for myself to make sure I got what was listed. Until I saw this thread I had no idea people
don’t click it on purpose, because someone took their time sending the parcel. How petty😵

RandomUsernameHere · 16/03/2026 11:18

It’s annoying if they just haven’t bothered, but it could be because the parcel has been delivered when they were out, so they haven’t opened it yet.

Ohyeahitsme · 16/03/2026 11:21

Midsommermadness · 13/03/2026 23:57

But in the meantime the seller isn’t getting paid ! So selfish !

It's not selfish. It's life. If it bothers you then don't sell on vinted. Vinted can't be relied upon for money and isn't a quick way to earn extra cash and shouldn't be treated as such.

skyeisthelimit · 16/03/2026 11:39

It's not a question of being rude and it's laughable that people are bringing manners into this. Sometimes my friend collects things for me, so I can't click ok until I have seen the items. Sometimes I am working and don't have time to do it. Sometimes I see a flaw that wasn't described and have to think about whether to raise an issue or not.

I sell most things myself for £1 or £2. I am not desperate for the money so wouldn't assume anyone else was just because they were selling lots at that price.

Vinted allow people 2 days to click OK. Vinted allow 7 days to send parcels.

If you don't like Vinted rules then don't buy or sell on Vinted, it's as simple as that. You can't use it then complain when people are doing what the site allow.

I am not a shop who posts every day, I am a person selling personal belongings that get posted when I can get there or collected when I can get there and marked OK when I have time to do so.

Sunshineandgrapefruit · 16/03/2026 11:46

With the post and the fact people often don't post for ages it doesn't happen much that the item arrives much before the deadline. Sometimes I don't on purpose if the item is a bit shit (not worth returning when you have to pay postage but not really as described eg in perfect condition but reeks of smoke, or has a stain that will wash out but still....). Then they can wait. If it arrives in plenty of time and is as described with no issues ty n I make a point of clicking to say it's arrived.

Sunshineandgrapefruit · 16/03/2026 11:47

I also leave reviews

Duckyfondant · 16/03/2026 12:04

Stop adding arbitrary time frames to the process! I think it's quite well designed as is and it drives me mad when sellers pester. I had one seller in had to report because they kept on forcefully insisting I'd received a parcel that I hadn't.

ClaredeBear · 16/03/2026 12:37

Ong I’m so sorry, I’ve now realised why I should click the button sooner rather than later leave it go the two days. Ok, will change my ways!
