A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙 🩵

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Oh, it was a bit tongue in cheek. I never said he had used the rent boys but just the facts of the case and the opaque shenanigans around it. You'd have to be wondering what was going on there if it doesn't fall under terroristic activity, which has been ruled out. But maybe frustration with this whole Labour charade is lowering my bar with the nudge, nudge stick. I'll desist.

I'll absolutely stand by the fact that Starmer speaks to women in a way that he does not impose on men. His tone with Badenoch is completely different to how he spoke about Sunak, for comparison. His attack on Duffield. On Liz Saville. Just awful.

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 14/01/2026 19:20

Come on.

Starmer is a prick. His line at PMQs was unfunny, crass and embarrassing. I detest him. And a man of his age with his background probably is bad with women.

But there’s no reason to think he actively hates women. Equally, the rumours about using rent boys have absolutely nothing to back them up and should be treated as trash. We don’t need to exaggerate or invent Starmer’s faults. He has enough on display in public every single day.

I said something similar about the Phillipson rumour: the left invented all sorts of scurrilous nonsense about the Tories; I think we can do better than that shower of bitter little no-marks and stick to what’s proven.

Actually I think that anyone who says that some women have penises, does hate women.

Of course they do - believing some women have a penis - or that some men can be women- removes women as a single sex category. Which impacts all women and girls, and our rights.

Not sure about the court case but his interactions with women in the political sphere do look as below.

The fact that Starmer signed up to that trans shite - and that Labour’s still dancing around it - tells me he’s a spineless wanker, not necessarily that he hates women. There are plenty of Labour (and some other) women who didn’t have the courage or decency to face down the trans mob, after all.

@Parsley4321 So sorry to hear about the job. I can't believe how bloody long it took to turn you down! Its shit that you haven't been told why. I'd be demanding answers there, but thats just me. Good luck with the house sale. Bloody stressful I'm sure, but hopefully you'll be happier if you get out of dodge. I couldn't cope with that flag! I hope the video Upstartled found has cheered you up.

@Upstartled Starmer is a woman hater, and I will die on that hill. He oozes misogyny at every opportunity and addresses women in a totally different manner to men.

I'm not offended at all by your mention of the Ukrainian problem. Its going to court just before the May elections which could prove interesting. There is definitely enough smoke there to make a fire. I think theres a gagging order in place.

@TheNuthatch love the video 😜 I will be getting an answer although some wait 6 months for one after wasting 2 x enhanced dbs cost for me what a joke. The flag is something else

I just had to say I love the cartoon at the start of this thread - ban Wednesday on his resolution list😂

As much as I cant stomach Starmer who else is there to replace him? The left love Andy Burnham, he's a Northern god to them but I don't think he wants it. Wide eyed Wes - yes a possibility. Of course disgraced Angela Rayner could make a comeback. Struggling to think of anyone else who can fill the slot until it's time for the Tories or Reform to take the keys to No. 10.

We will have to grit out teeth for a while yet.

The list is brilliant isn't it. I also love the 'get fiscal' tag 😂😂
I usually post a Matt cartoon, but this one deserved the spotlight. We need to keep laughing to get us through.

"Prattish" just about sums up Starmer's performance at today's PMQs. He is a prat and every day he's in office he demonstrates that fact in way or another.

@DancingFerret and we’ve all walked into it I remember when May wanted id cards I just thought we all carry the biggest id everywhere our phone

Famously said by Cromwell in 1653:

"You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing lately... Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!"

Couldn't be more relevant these days, could it?

Haha he’s such a prat. Continuously bristling and affronted. Then lashing out.

So relevant.
Didn't David Davies use it on Johnson?
I would love to see a Labour MP do the same, but that would require some courage and integrity. Both in short supply on the Labour benches.

He did indeed. It was to Boris Johnson about Partygate.

It’s total cringe isn’t it although some on MN seem to think Starmer was being so witty!

They seems to be confusing wit and vulgarity.

Easily done for some, I suppose.

@Hyperobject thanks for explaining about Blackstone.

A general point on compulsory digital ID - is it me or have Labour specified that it won't be required for work? That's probably very careful wording. So it may be required for other things.

I think I have had enough Internet today - particularly following the coverage of Senator Josh Hawley trying to ask a doctor if a man can get pregnant (spoiler alert - she evaded the question for more than four minutes)

But the thing that's really weirded me out is this. In the ICE situation, Renée Good's wife can apparently be heard shouting "why do they have real bullets?" When I first saw it I thought that I'd misheard it or that it was fake. But apparently it's real.

That's probably a rabbit hole I shouldn't go down. Does anybody know what might be behind this? I'll just ask here and not go searching online.

Seeing the two things in one quarter of an hour - the doctor thing and this - is pretty freaky.

It is vulgar. But more than that, it’s just not funny or deft. It’s the sort of thing a tiresome teenage know-it-all would say in a school debate. To the rolling of eyes and sound of dismissive groans.

EmeraldRoulette · 14/01/2026 21:12

@Parsley4321 bloody hell

I must admit, I've never heard of Ecotricity before this. That's a difficult situation for staff...

I don't know, I definitely prefer this home secretary version of Mahmood than the - lie down in front of the co-op because they are selling sinful Israeli food inside Mahmood. Which version would we get?

Edited

Fair point!

Well that phone thing will be challenged. Who argues on WhatsApp anyways. I'll be firing up my old laptop at this rate.

In other news. Israel airspace has been cleared. Ditto Iran. Ships are leaving ports in Iran. British embassy been closed and cleared. USA has emptied its air bases in Qatar
