A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙 🩵

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

So after one year of waiting for my pre employment checks two enhanced dbs perfectly fine my pre employment checks have come back not satisfactory 😳 I don’t know why you have to ask for a reason they don’t give you one however on the chat forum it seems this is not unusual as I may have someone on my social media who is a felon. I might not know this but this could be a reason and there seems to be the girls who have passed pre employment and gone onto have relationships with the felons might be quite young so they have less pre employment history 🤷‍♀️anyway house is in the market I’ve been offered a gig in Salcombe for the summer and let’s see what happens. It’s too too too left wing for me around here everytime I go to Stroud there is still a 50 ft Palestinian flag glaring from the most prominent building and our MP self congratulating bollocks is grating too do a new outlook no prison for me just a few boats

EasternStandard · 14/01/2026 10:13

Lyse Doucet covering Iranian bravery on R4. Making me teary, beautiful people facing such violence, just too much.

Labour are at it again with their trying to bribe people for votes. This time announcing their ‘northern powerhouse’ rail extensions.

Not going to be ready til - at least - 2040 (but Reevsy doesn’t tell us that ofc). By which time… well we know the rest.

CaveMum · 14/01/2026 12:09

Lost you all for a bit there!

Back in time for PMQ - let’s see how they try to spin yet another U-turn.

The SNP amused me with their Groundhog Day tweet.

This feels like a bribe for votes too

Hi, dropped off the last thread. Thanks @TheNuthatch

I watched a bit of pmqs today, again I find the way Starmer spits out the word her at Badenoch in such a rude tone that it is like a lightning rod that galvanises my dislike for him in its purest form.

He really doesn't like women I've decided even labour ones.

Yes, he does seem to be a nasty little misogynist.

I hope he rues the day he tried to humiliate Liz Saville in the Commons, saying that she talks rubbish. I hope that day is in May when Labour goes cap in hand to Plaid, for a crumb of power and influence

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 14/01/2026 14:09

I just read a quote on the Speccy site from PMQs about more positions than the Kama Sutra and the country being screwed. My instant reaction was to cringe at such an unfunny, stilted line and be embarrassed for Badenoch. Under the quote I then saw it was Starmer and breathed a sigh of relief.

No doubt the MN Labour fangirls think it’s ace. 🙄

Upstartled · 14/01/2026 14:15

Yep, it's a totally inappropriate reference in any workplace, let alone at pmqs. Grotty.

Of course. Labour hate women they always have. Hence no Labour pm for example.
The Left are misogynistic sexist movement, always have been. Trade unions etc etc. 🤢. Bollard is the manifestation of it. With his women have penises sometimes. And with his treatment of women MPs, lack of movement on grooming gangs. Etc. Grotesque, really.

The Labour Party has a woman problem

I know how it feels to be in an abusive relationship

Omg me too. I had to stop listening due to that. The ‘she’ is spat out with such venom. He’s such a nasty little misogynist.

"they had more positions in 14 years than the Kama Sutra. No wonder they're knackered and left the country screwed"

Yuck, yuck yuck. Completely inappropriate, but takes an even nastier edge when directed at a female leader of the opposition. That would be considered sexual harassment - and HR involved - if it was said in any other job.

Wow. Starmer said that towards KB? That is shocking (though in reflection..). Yep - he’d be disciplined in a normal workplace.

It was to the house/speaker, but in response to her question about Labour U-turns.

EasternStandard · 14/01/2026 16:01

He’s so rubbish and grim.

Parsley4321 · 14/01/2026 16:05

Sounds like he is the wordt kind of gay to me 🤷‍♀️

EasternStandard · 14/01/2026 16:06

Just realised people still love him on here. Fark 😬

Parsley4321 · 14/01/2026 16:06

I don’t think many straight men would say that I might be wrong to me sounds like a vicious old queen

EasternStandard · 14/01/2026 16:08

The best thing is despite a few fans that love him no matter what he polls as the most unpopular PM. And focus groups show he is loathed.

Tg for that

But who’d be the least bad (for the uk) leader for Labour right now?

Idk really they are bad whichever way they go. I find it amusing to bizarre that anyone on here still likes Starmer, there’s a few left who still think he’s great.
