My tax is a picture of a bag that DS2 has spotted in a shop in Tallinn.
Plus the cat who I suspect would enjoy taking advantage of said bag given half a chance.

I’ll be all emotional later as playing in Concert Band for Remembrance Concert including our Act of Remembrance. This year I’ll have my late dad’s medals on my stand. I need to get my pro head on so I don’t let emotion mess it up. I’ve got a job to do. A few years ago I sang at the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate. Similar situation of not allowing emotion to interrupt performance.

@cardibach I've attended the Menin Gate ceremony twice, once with DC1's school who had a student sing. It was very emotional both times.

There was a post in our local FB group by a top whizz in videos. It's a highly processed arial view of two lads erecting a flagpole in a local square from a drone with a lot of catchy effects.

The only snag is you can't actually see what the flag is as it's hanging limply (possibly a metaphor ?). It's not a union flag and doesn't seem to be a St. Georges.

Is there scope for a campaign to call all people who are definitely not racist "Alan". It has a pleasing aural roll with other names co-opted as avatars.

Agree. I have recently been diagnosed with a chronic illness and ds has a degenerative neurological condition.

I didn’t read it that way.

Having an illness does have an effect and living in war zones does have an effect.

So I wish people would back off disabled people and asylum seekers and appreciate what they have.
