What was the first album you ever owned? Would you still listen to it now?

I was reminded of my first album recently, so had a listen on Spotify... interesting experience! Some of it was exciting and great, some utter crap. It was - going all the way back to 1981- Kings of the Wild Frontier by Adam and the Ants. I was 12.

What was your first album, and do you still like it?

Mine was a bit later. 1991 and my first cassette album was Now that’s what I call music volume 23. There’s some classics on there!

I had a few Nows in my collection over the years, @FLOWER1982 !

I think it was Violent Femmes and yes still love Blister in the Sun when it plays

Bon Jovi - Crossroads, its still got some tunes on it tbf even if I've not listened to them in decades.

Mine was Rio by Duran Duran.

Ah, I remember "Add it up" being played at all my student parties in the late 80s, @MarshaBradyo ... I still have a few VF songs on my 80s playlist on Spotify.

Kate Bush The Whole Story. Absolutely listen to it now (although it’s a compilation so listen to the proper albums now)

Grease soundtrack. Still listen to it all the time. Well, you would wouldn’t you.

DH re-bought it for me on vinyl a few years ago and yes I still listen to it now and then.

Some great stuff on here. I also had that Kate Bush album; wasnt wild about the new version of Wuthering Heights, but otherwise excellent. And Rio! Roger Taylor was my DD crush!

I really can't remember my very first album. I had a Pye brand cassette walkman, and before that my parents had a music centre with record and cassette. I don't think I ever actually owned my own records till I was older but I do remember some of the first tapes I owned being Guns N Roses albums.

The Christmas I got my first ever CD player, Santa brought Beautiful South Carry On Up The Charts and Bon Jovi Crossroads.

I'd still listen to all of the above.

The Very Best of Elton John (1990 compilation, my dad advised me, age 10, to buy it!). Yes I'd listen to it now if I had a cassette player, it's a cracking album 😂

Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and yes, still listen to it.

Now That's What I Call Music 2 and it's awesome. Whenever my random play generates 'Break My Stride' I love it 😂
