Thread 2 - many thanks to @GAHgamel for the thread title. And to everyone else who has supported and advised me thus far.

May he figure it out on his own!

May all his favourite clothing items shrink as he learns how to work a washing machine...

I’m so glad he has moved out!

May he learn how to clean his own sh*t from the toilet bowl.

May he put a red sock in with his shirts

I'm really hoping that the reason everything is sticky in his new place is that the former occupiers were smokers, and it's down to years of accumulated tar deposits. That'll mean hours of fun with wiping down with Sugar Soap.

Rosemary, I hope this means a more peaceful life for you but I admit I am also looking forward to hearing John’s experiences with learn8ng to adult. ☺️

May he learn the hard way why you don't wash and dry everything on hot.

May all his clothes be tiny pieces of felt.

Lots of lovely lessons ahead for john... but not from you, op. Oh dear.

I think that he is about to learn in his own way that he made his own bed and he must lie in it. I read the whole of the first thread last night, congratulations on leaving such a magnificent specimen and I truly wish you a happy life now. I bet things are miles better now that you don't have to invisibly service the house. Good luck to you. Flowers

You are amazing Rosemary you've stayed so dignified throughout.

Where is your first thread? It sounds inspiring

As funny as those posts were, in a way I hope you don't write many more of them. Once he and his stuff is out of your house, you can stop communicating with him and get him out of your head. Then the thread can be about you, your lovely dc and your new happy life Flowers

A truly fabulous title. Just saw your last post about the cost of cleaning materials... wait until he realises how quickly they need replaced! Then there’s the fun additional costs like window cleaners etc.

😂 wonderful!

@R0SEMARY I posted on your last thread back in February and I was so happy to read your updates yesterday. Weirdly enough I was thinking about you and your thread last week because something about narcissists came across my mental periphery. I was hoping you were alright.

And yes, I echo others saying please change the locks. I’d also get house sitters to stay as well, friends of yours you can trust who won’t let John enter the house under any circumstances.

Op, when he is gone ask him whether he is collecting anything more, and if not, you will be getting rid of it. Then I’d go through the rest of it and have a number of car boot sales or local Facebook pages over the summer, if on. Then I’d spend the money on things you want.

@SunshineCake

What an embarrassment of a man.

I was just thinking this.

Why is stuff sticky/dirty?

I mean is he a complete idiot??

Well done @R0SEMARY you're doing brilliantly well!
John, not so much.
It's so funny how baffled he is by all the normal stuff of life he now has to handle himself! Grin

I wonder if it'd be possible to ring the delivery company and pay the extra for them to take the boxes in the basement?
I wouldn't even TELL John that you had to pay extra for this!

The delivery company probably don't know his back story. If somebody rings up and offers to pay more they might just go for it.

It'd be funny to see him realise ALL the boxes had arrived !

Any idea what delivery company he's using?

From what you say, he’s going to need more like 200 boxes. Please try to keep count for us Grin
