Yes definitely a vote for Move. I can't believe how much it's fixed me.

I also used to do just targeted vids before but I think I'd not realised how important the entire body is ! Esp core !

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 01/02/2022 08:15

As another poster eloquently put it I felt the same post xmas lardiness is I would like to see how different it feels second time around

@Rummikub I think that eloquent poster was me and your post has made me laugh so much.

It will actually be so satisfying to see the improvement!

Just checking-re-starting on actual Day 1 today?

Rummikub · 01/02/2022 08:31

Your words were very true!

Yes let’s do it!

I really don’t want to lose the momentum especially as it’s reaping such good mental health rewards.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 01/02/2022 08:36

Hello fellow Movers!

I never do day 30, the whole point for me is that it's guided practice.

Day 1 here I go again :)

Pleasenomoreglitter · 01/02/2022 08:37

Really didn't enjoy day 30 and gave up half way as totally out of ideas. I definitely need the instructions!
Want to carry on so will start again today or look at another depending on the general consensus here as nice to follow other people's comments on the same thing as we go along.

Sooverthemill · 01/02/2022 08:40

I didn't do day 30 but redid day 15 as it is reasonably swift and nice for whole body. Very aching shoulder today. Day 1 from tomorrow for me

I'll be doing Move day 1 again today. Mat wise I have a lovely cork Gaiam 5mm yoga mat which is super comfy.

guinnessguzzler · 01/02/2022 10:07

Just done Move Day 1. It felt good and made me realise how long ago the start of January was! Also great to be able to do it whenever suits and not wait until 10am so that's a bonus. Also good to have technique reminders. I really need to relax my face and jaw!

Feawen · 01/02/2022 10:52

May I join in? I did the first couple of weeks of Move then sprained my ankle (not yoga related, horse fell on it). I’m healed up and ready to get started again but could do with some extra motivation.

Congratulations to everyone still showing up - those who finished and those who are trying again

tootyfruitypickle · 01/02/2022 11:08

I've done day 1 and found it harder than I remembered !

teesguy · 01/02/2022 12:57

Just found this thread!!

I did day 29 of Move today as I missed a couple of days. I've really enjoyed it and found that generally I can find 20 mins to practice pretty much every day. Just need to keep it going now!

Mat wise I have a Yogi Bare Paws mat that was the best overall on the list on page 1. It's really good and would definitely recommend.

Feawen · 01/02/2022 13:23

I like the length of these sessions too - I can fit half an hour’s yoga into my lunch break and still have time to make something to eat. (Pitta with courgette and hummus today, with a pinch of sumac).

I found today’s day 1 practice harder than the first time around - my left ankle is noticeably stiffer and weaker than my right, for now. I’m nowhere near getting my heel to the floor in downward dog. Trying not to push it and let the flexibility come back progressively.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 01/02/2022 13:25

Day One done-

Feeling great-loved it and so glad to be "re-Moving" Smile

Also agree harder than I remember and Move def a hard practice if you have never done any despite the shorter sessions.

cungryhow · 01/02/2022 13:33

I’ve got a yogi bare mat too and I love it, it makes such a satisfying noise when I throw it out! It’s good too though, no sliding!

angerelle · 01/02/2022 15:54

Just done Day 30, woohoo! So chuffed with myself for sticking with it. I took my glasses off so couldn't see a thing and when I did check in to see where Adriene was, it was 2 minutes from the end and she was lying down, so I did too. I've just done the first February one from the calendar too, will see how I get on with it.

cungryhow · 01/02/2022 16:00

Day 1 done again, I think I was better at the settling down to stillness at the beginning this time. Did a 10 minute session with Kassandra too first thing this morning so really feeling quite lovely now.

rifling · 01/02/2022 16:18

Placemarking although I'm still finishing Move as I was 2 days behind. I definitely want to aim for daily yoga this year.

Shinyandnew2022 · 01/02/2022 18:49

Hello all am very happy we are starting again on a new thread .
Just done Move day 1 ( 31!) it was way harder than I remember I am sure I must have spent extra time in child's pose last time.

namechange5575 · 01/02/2022 19:55

I did Day 30 today - I really quite enjoyed it! Surprised after most pps take on it. I was still going after she'd stopped so I hurried the end. Quite liked that she didn't speak again at the end.

Ietthemeatcake · 01/02/2022 21:20

I'm on day 21 after missing 19 days with Covid. This was a core one and it was HARD - I went to Body Pump on Saturday for the first time in quite literally 20 years so I was sore as soon as I started.
It felt really Pilates based rather than yoga today, anyway, another one in the books! I was glad it was only 12 mins.

Rummikub · 01/02/2022 22:20

I can touch the floor when my ankles are crossed!
30 days ago not a chance. Very happy with myself.

Rummikub · 01/02/2022 22:24

I’ve just signed up to her Sunday newsletter too.
I like the little snippets of wisdom.
A little something is better than nothing.

Sooverthemill · 02/02/2022 07:33

@letthemeatcake well done! That's an achievement
Day 1 ( again) for me and I'm proud of myself because I have a second tricky day ahead and when I saw 29 minutes I almost caved but did it. My intention this time around is to do it more mindfully and not anticipate what Adrienne is going to say. I really liked the moves today and felt very good at the end . It says something when moving to plank feels like a rest!
Well done everyone

It's great to know there are some people who are naturals at the unguided style ! I agree it was lovely that she didn't speak -then the words on the screen added to me feeling emotional to be at the end !

I am expecting my YWA merch today and also have signed up for the weekly email ?

Is anyone on here a full subscriber ?

Sooverthemill · 02/02/2022 09:25

@Shinyandnew2022 I was a subscriber to the app for years and years and then during covid stopped so I could switch the money to a charity instead ( because she had so many new subscribers and I felt she didn't need me any more). The full app is really good and has lots of extras but actually in the last few years I hadn't used it much. But I recommend trying it for a while
