Day 2 done. This one has a nice amount of core work for me - enough that I feel it without getting overwhelmed. Anyone else find fore-arm plank harder than standard plank?

On mat recommendations, I’d really like a mat with a grid pattern or stripes, so I can check I’m evenly aligned. Any recommendations?

I definitely find forearm plank harder! Enjoyed day 1 yesterday, though there was a lot more explanation than I remembered!

So far I'm finding it easier than in January so I must be a bit stronger/less bloated with Christmas overindulgence 😂

Another yes to finding forearm plank harder! Wasn’t looking forward to day 2 as the fronts of my thighs were killing after the first run in a while for me on Tuesday. Then my pony was a handful on our ride this morning and jogged all the way home. I managed the yoga ok and the 30 minutes went quickly but am going up and down the stairs very gingerly!

Was a few days behind you all starting and I have just completed day 28. To be honest it was lovely but I find those practices a bit boring - that attitude isn’t really within the spirit of yoga 🙈

I will do day 29 tomorrow and then knowing that day 30 is unguided I may start MOVE again.

I’ve really enjoyed it. I was tempted to pay for the app but for me having too much choice is a nightmare. I like the fact the days are numbered and you just work through it. I would probably pay for the app if it was full of progressive 30 day challenges like this.

Day 30 finished today! Really enjoyed being back on my mat and the difference that doing 20-30 mins per day has made.

Page 3 and 2nd Feb...and I've done no yoga so far! Aiming to get up early tomorrow and will try Move day 1 before work.
Thanks for all the mat recs, there seems to be a huge variety in price but will check out the yogi bare one as that seemed popular.

Very late to it today, just about to do Day 2.

I have signed up to the weekly emails too. Definitely like the structure of a 30 day programme with the option for top ups and looking forward to what the weekly email brings.

I continue to be impressed by everyone juggling this with so many things, but am starting to get a bit more active on top of this too. Can absolutely feel the benefit.

Day 2 (32!) done today. Again found it quite hard - can't remember whether I would have managed it all last time.
My DD wandered past at one point and told me I looked a lot better now - not sure what she was basing that on but will take any compliments I can get

T shirts arrived and I really like them both but am possibly in between sizes so that's a little annoying as I may need to order a size down.

Thanks @Sooverthemill I thought someone had mentioned subscribing- I may look at that after this next Move series is done.

I've just done February Day 2 - had a stressful evening trying to prep two meals at once and was grumpily thinking "I deserve a glass of wine", but after finally doing some yoga, I've found I don't need the wine now!

I just remembered this so have just done day 3.

I do 1 or 2 of her videos everyday - but I tend to rotate through 5-6 that I've done loads of times so this doing a new one each day - is new for me.

First impressions are that it was a bit disjointed in that a lot of the ones I do are slower (but longer) and have more focus on remembering to breathe/get the shapes right. But that because when I first started yoga a couple of years ago I found it so so hard that I just approximated shapes and I think possibly did more harm than good. E.g. down dog - I was doing it wrong and not getting the benefit.

I like doing the same one for say a month, so I can really see how much I improve from wtf woman that's not possible to oh, I can sort of do it now.

But I'll keep going as it's interesting to learn new bits.

If I had to recommend two that totally changed yoga for me it's her text next and yoga for the feet videos. Serous my - who knew! Do each every day for a week and suddenly everything become comes a million easier! Absolute game changers. For this stiff 46 year old with a smashed collarbone and dodgy hips anyway.

@Shannith I also tend to do the same few videos over and over ( I often do all her outdoor ones for a week or so) and get so I really crack them but for me it feels comfortable doing that and the 30 day challenge one's really do challenge me! I do the hip and the shoulder ones regularly as extras too plus yoga for the wrists as I have arthritis. I'm much older than you and know that if I have to continue to care for DD into my 70s I have to stay flexible which was my original motivation

Day 2 today! Took it as slowly as Adrienne did, tried not to power in through and loved it. It was hard but maybe not as hard as first time. I do not find forearm plank hard. No idea why. Other moves eg take left foot through from DWD is nigh on impossible mind!

I'm sure normal people will be easy peasy but man they hurt when I first did them. And the next 1 times! I cursed the lovely Adrienne.

@Sooverthemill my motivation was recovery from serous illness and to be able to ride without falling off so much. Not as noble as yours but I think like you I've come to enjoy yoga for itself as well as my original plan.

@Shannith when DD became ill I was recovering from cancer treatment and was a total physical wreck! So yoga and sensible eating was essential as I could not do ‘exercise’ at all, couldn’t even walk due 15 minutes. But YWA seriously helped x

I tried the yoga for feet one recently and loved it. My feet were a bit sore a d I thought, 'I'll just see if there's any targeted yoga to help'. Of course there is, there seems to be something for pretty much any situation, that's one thing I really love.

Just about to do Day 3. I have found the first two still hard but also that I've done more of them and held poses for longer. So, I think as you improve it stays hard if you continue to push yourself, if that makes sense? Is that the case when you have been practicing daily / regularly for several years too, I wonder? @Sooverthemill @Shannith

@guinnessguzzler in my case if you continue with daily practice I think certain poses get 'easier' but if you hold them for longer or try an adjustment ( like really pulling shoulder blades apart in plank) they are still challenging.

Just did day 27.
Put more effort in instead of saying that’s too hard. I was breathless by the end!

I just cannot do downward dog for more than 30 seconds- really hurts my wrists.

I’m going to check out that feet yoga video. I have arthritis in my feet and hands.

I did Day 1 yesterday - I thought it was just the 5 minute 'setting intention' one, was a bit of a shock to do the full one! And it was harder than I thought it would be, given I'd done it daily for a month. But my planks were strongStar

Day 3 done-

I am really really sore-especially the fronts of my thighs.
Struggled to walk up the stairs this morning.

I am making a huge effort not to just re-do Move but really really push myself and I can feel it!!

Anyone else sore?

Did day 3 and have noticed I can do the warriors properly this time around and they don't kill me! I also found the side planks actually quite enjoyable this time !

Doubt very much I'll make any progress on crow when that comes around again though! Maybe by December ..!!

@guinnessguzzler that's what I found - the longer I do it the more I try if that makes sense. So it never gets easy as such because I'm always still trying to do the poses better/longer/more correctly.

So to use down dog as an example. I was more like a... well I don't even know... in a vague triangle shape with my heels nowhere near the floor.

As times gone on I can do that now but I am more aware of getting my arms right, everything looser and getting my hips up and and feet level (my dodgy left one was pointing out). I try to do correctly and safely. So it still "hurts" in that I can feel a stretch just like I did when I started, I just look a bit more like her when I'm doing it and less like a sweating, shaking contortion Grin

I'm massively impressed with how much progress everyone is making in a month!

I was coming from and extremely low base so I'm just delighted I can do things like climb over stiles nowadays. And that's what I have come to love about yoga with Adrienne- it's just me and my slow progress, but progress nonetheless. I'm never going to win a yoga completion, indeed I'd probably make a fool of myself and fall over in a yoga class but Adrienne and Benji don't care.

I couldn't even stay in corpse pose for a very long time - too painful. I was like how is this supposed to be restful. My knees and back hurt
