Who's signed up? I've done these every year since 2016 and I can't wait! Although my health has been poor this year I've managed to practice at home almost every day. I love the kickstart these give my year

Just done day 25 and yay pigeon. Tbh I got a bit bored with the breathing at the start but I always do because she gives such a long explanation which distracts me as I've done it so many times before but I did do it!

Just did Day 26.

Really good-I like the ones who make me know I was working but am I the only one who audibly groaned when Adrienne said cheerily "don't worry if you didn't get Horizon-there is another one coming" Grin

guinnessguzzler · 27/01/2022 12:29

Agree, the explanations can be lengthy sometimes. Maybe she could start offering different programs based on experience. Or maybe she already does that if you pay for content? Perhaps the waffle is a stealth marketing tool to get us all to sign up Grin

guinnessguzzler · 27/01/2022 12:30

Just about to do Day 26 so will look out for that, @mumsiedarlingrevolta

Rummikub · 27/01/2022 13:22

@Gufo

Still here and still yoga-ing but can't log in to MN on my phone :(

I'm a couple of days behind and just completed Day 21 Connect (aka Ab Killer) and Day 22 Courage which is up there with Day 5 as one of my faves. I've done 2 real life classes, so technically only missed yoga in January on 2 or 3 days - can't see myself catching up to finish on the 31st but will definitely finish the programme.

My feet are nearer the mat than they ever have been in DDog, but my transitions are still NOTHING like Adriene's as I hoof my foot into place with my hands every time! Definitely feel stronger - and happier too.

😂😂this is me too as I drag my foot into position.

Just did day 22.
I’ll do day 23 tonight and day 24 tomorrow so I don’t feel days behind

tootyfruitypickle · 27/01/2022 14:12

Didn't get horizon either time ! Maybe next time around!

Weepingwillows12 · 27/01/2022 14:44

I did day 21 (abs one) and day 22 last night. They went quite well together. I actually enjoyed the abs mini session as could feel the improvement. I will do day 23 tonight but a lot of you didn't enjoy it so I am not looking forward to it

rifling · 27/01/2022 16:47

I can get my heels down no problem on downward dog which makes me think I am doing it wrong as I am not generally flexible!

Sooverthemill · 27/01/2022 16:51

@guinnessguzzler the 30 day challenges are for all levels and newcomers are especially welcome. So long explanation is the norm.

Huffed and chuffed my way through day 26, hips weren’t quite where they were meant to be in the horizon but were closer on 2nd go. Binned off one of the vinyasas and had a nice rest in down dog! Didn’t enjoy breath of fire yesterday, cannot get that at all but I’m sure it was good for my sinuses!

CeeCeeDeeBee · 27/01/2022 17:12

I'm a day behind because I had a migraine last night. Going to catch up tonight or tomorrow morning.

CeibaTree · 27/01/2022 20:42

Day 26 was my least favourite so far, I found it too repetitive and I even stopped it half way through and had to force myself to switch it back on and finish it. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood for it!

That's a good idea whoever suggested to start the program again on day 31 :)

BalancingStick · 27/01/2022 21:53

Day 25 complete. Not a huge fan of pigeon but I can grab my foot for king pigeon (which detracts from all the reasons I don't like it lol). Can't believe how quickly this is going. Will try to catch up the one day I'm behind over the weekend!

EmmaStone · 27/01/2022 22:16

I've missed a few days, but managed 23 & 24 tonight before bed, and will try to get 25 & 26 done tomorrow. Quite like the balancing ones, but my glutes were screaming!

Glad to hear more pigeon in day 25. Not sure what Horizon is though, off to Google...

I’m like this too. This is my first time trying yoga and I can get my heels down without any issues. Some of the other positions, though… I can sometimes do the transition to lunge from downward dog now. I couldn’t at all at the start of the 30 days. But I can’t always do it. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why it’s a bit unpredictable.

It's so interesting how different we all are - I quite like the repetition as it means I can switch off a bit from listening to the instructions!

I can't believe it's nearly all over and am so pleased people want to start over again !

Lightningrain · 27/01/2022 22:51

Day 26 done here too. I also found it a bit repetitive and kept looking at how long I had left.

On the plus side I managed the horizon pose although found it really hard to get back up again transferring weight from the side of my feet to my toes.

BigGreen · 27/01/2022 23:21

I'm only on day 12, still sticking at it (yoga beginner) Smile

guinnessguzzler · 27/01/2022 23:37

Well done for sticking with it.

Yes, I found getting up from the horizon the hardest part and not at all graceful!

UnaOfStormhold · 28/01/2022 08:54

I rather liked horizon, always fun to discover a new pose.

Unusually for me I found I enjoyed the repeated vinyasas in day 26 - I have been working on pushing straight up into plank from lying on the belly and finally seem able to do that properly. I used to lift my shoulders off the ground a bit first to get through that difficult first inch, and only once I'd done that start lifting my hips up. But my arms appear to be getting stronger and I finally seem to be able to lift hips and shoulders at the same time which feels like real progress.

Shortening the length of your dog (i.e. reducing the distance between hands and feet) definitely helps with getting heels down - if I go straight into dog from all fours my heels are pretty close to the mat, if I go into it from plank then there's a much bigger gap. I think the right distance for me is somewhere in between. I used to be able to do it more easily but since taking up running I have stronger but less flexible calves.

Sooverthemill · 28/01/2022 09:02

@BigGreen well done!
Well Fay 26 sort of done but I was very distracted and I finished it a few nearly as my head was elsewhere. Never done horizon before and may never again! My hips are obviously joined to my body differently from Adrienne's! But love all the plank...

Day 25 done, the short sharp breathing was pretty ridiculous (as it is every year - never know what it's actually supposed to be doing), but enjoyed the rest, and liked the release of pigeon. Seemed very very short (that's what happens when you get into a rut of doing 2 back to back!). Will try for Day 26 later today so will be largely caught up.

itssquidstella · 28/01/2022 11:12

I gave up on day 25 - hate all that breathing bollocks.

Will do 26 and 27 together this evening.

tootyfruitypickle · 28/01/2022 11:49

Just done todays - oh my god !!!

On the plus side I cracked Horizon I think !

guinnessguzzler · 28/01/2022 12:22

Yes, WOW to Day 27! But a definite sense of satisfaction for having (mostly) got through it, and I know I couldn't have got even close before.

Found horizon better today too, @tootyfruitypickle but the rest Shock
