Who is going to do Adriene’s 30 day programme January 2021?

I’ve done the last few years and try to do a video most days throughout the year. I like the structure of the 30 days. I think my favourite was Home as the length (short) of the videos suited what I had time for. Looking forward to seeing what’s to come.

Day 27 today. Nice and short. I'm 2 days behind but really pleased to have gotten this far. This group has really encouraged me to keep going.

Can someone remind me what the 'wild thing' is please?

Day 30 done, freestyled my way through most of the way, occasionally looking up for a bit of inspiration for what to do next, which worked. A few times I looked up to realise she was in the same pose as I was which was nice.

There is a YWA calendar with different practices each day but when I tried that last year I found the length and focus a bit too variable (10-40 rather than mostly 20-30), so I often found myself thinking, no don't want to do that one. Which generally meant I wasted time looking for another. I found it worked better I did one of the other 30 days instead, length a bit more consistent and a bit more of a build up. I've done True, 30 Days of Yoga and Revolution and did Home a few times too. I think Home is my favourite of them all so far, so my rough plan for this year is to do Boot Camp, Dedicate and then Home again, and after that see how I feel!

I think I’m going to start Home today. It was my first one last year and although I found it hard, it got me hooked. Hopefully I’ll find it easier this time round.

The monthly calendars don’t really do it for me, they’re a bit too disjointed And random.

Day 27 done this morning, I'm going to finish 28 and 29 and then mix and match with my Pilates and the Feb ones, we are aiming for an earlier start with the DCs so a short one in the morning will be good. I think after Feb I will try another full month one (maybe starting before the end of Feb so I can fit in Pilates as well).

So, um, did everyone else know that the monthly calendar (but not Breath) actually has a clicky link to each video? Because I’ve only just realised - and it even says it on the download link which I obviously didn’t read...Blush

I tried day 1 of Home today and found it far too slow. Didn’t enjoy it at all Sad Also don’t like the look of so many short days in the February calendar so not sure what to do.

@Londt I’m using the Feb calendar as a guide but will swap in some longer ones or do 2 on days when I need more. Peaceful warrior today was lovely.

That’s good to hear @whitershadeofpale, peaceful warrior wasn’t up when I went to do it earlier so I’ll give it a go tomorrow and do as you plan, swap in and double up when needed.

Trying hard to stick to it and not lose motivation and I know when it comes to a 10 min video I’ll think nah and grab a kitkat instead.

A little behind and I've just completed day 28, which I absolutely loved. The 35 minutes flew by. I found some of the poses quite tricky but I'm amazed at how I managed to see so much progress, especially in ones like Crow which were totally beyond me at the start. I'm still not able to do it but it felt a lot closer. The progress is satisfying - I might even look back at my early posts on here and re-do some that I found difficult to see.

Slightly kicking myself for not sticking to the exact calendar but looking forward to finishing in two more days. Thanks everyone on here for the motivation and the company.

Did day 1 of True yesterday but today I overslept ( bad night with DD) so missed my slot as DH had already started work. May try at bedtime but that's also a tough time. Bugger

Hi everyone...I've been lurking for most of January - it's been so inspiring to read about others doing YWA. I completed BREATH on Monday - did it every day so feeling quite proud of myself.

Like @Londt I am not sure what to do next. I did the first day of Bridge last night but I also think the Feb sessions all look a bit short. Not sure where to do HOME or REVOLUTION. Ideally I'm looking for a bit more intensity in the practice (not quite yoga for weightloss but I'd like to work up a sweat.)

@ZooeyS where did you see that quote on REVOLUTION? Sounds ideal if its a bit more intense than BRIDGE...

Thank you @Talisin for pointing out the calendar contains clicky links. I spent the day searching for ‘bridge day 1’ on YouTube and just assumed it hadn’t been uploaded yet.

I think I’ll try and do bridge and revolution alongside each other, see where that gets me.

Thank you @ZooeyS Signed up for REVOLUTION - did Day 1 & 2 last night as thought it would be 'neater' to match the days of the month. Then realised that the daily email will be out of sync, so have decided to repeat Day 2 tonight!
Enjoyed the idea of setting intention for everything - a good reminder that just because its strength-focused, I don't need to hurl myself around the mat.

Agree with previous poster that the seemingly small amounts of effort add up - the hovering table top was so easy today, and even my planks have become a lot more stable, just from the 30 days of BREATH.

well done @EventuallyDeleted and @drspouse. I really enjoyed the last few days of BREATH - could feel and see all the elements of the month's work coming together.

I’m preferring revolution to bridge so far, it follows on nicely to breath and the classes seem a decent length.
